Spoiler:

Maximus was, for the lack of a better word, a play boy back in his youth. Being such a wealthy and influential individual, he could have everything and anything he wanted with little remorse or consequence for his actions. That, however, wouldn’t have prepared him for his encounter with Sol.

He had encountered her within the meadows of a piece of land he owned. She was exotic, a beauty he had never seen before, and he needed to have her. Yet she was always out of his grasp, never relenting to his charm or his attempts to woo him, he would visit the meadows on an almost daily basis to see her.

In the end, he was able to win her affection by transforming the meadows into a Park in her honour. The centre piece being a statue that depicted her very being, within all her splendour. 2 months later Sol bore him two children, both a year apart, one a boy the other a girl. He had been delighted by the fact, but soon find himself as a single parent. Sol having left without a word several months after the birth of their daughter.

Devastated, the man became bitter and cruel, often blaming his daughter for his abandonment. Although he showered his son with affection, as he reminded him of the good times spent with the Goddess.

To this day he still visits the Park he created for her. Hoping that one day she would return.

Personality:

Michael is a very opinionated individual. Meaning that he isn’t afraid to let his feelings known, and doesn’t back down when others oppose him. His temper is fiery and explosive and he often has a rather passive-aggressive attitude to him.

Yet he is also a very thoughtful and generous person. He’s always willing to lend a hand to those in need and tries to be considerate towards everyone he encounters. He can be a bit lazy and tends to avoid things he has no interest in, but is willing to make a compromise to help a friend out of a pinch.

Beyond this, he’s exceptionally insecure about himself. He doesn’t feel as though he’s good enough, and holds a lot of resentment towards his mother  for abandoning him and his sister for killing him.

Powers:

Firebending: Michael is able to bend the wind to his will. He needs to remain focus whilst air bending or he will lose control and end up hurting himself or others. He can perform constant firebending moves for 2 to 3 posts, but afterwards needs 4 posts to regain the energy lost by doing so.




History:

Michael was born during the summer period. His mother giving birth to him within the beautiful realm of Asgard, before travelling back to Earth so that he could stay with his father. The man and the Goddess spoiled him with affection, but the Goddess’ presence soon became scarce in their lives, which began to make his father ever more anxious and desperate for her attention.

Even with the presence of his sister, who was born a year and three days after himself, wasn’t enough for the Goddess to remain within their lives. She left them, leaving their father devastated and in charge of two infant children.

He was irresponsible, reverting to drinking and working overtime to hide himself from his grief. Whenever he was home his attention only went to his son, almost never to his daughter, who craved his affection as she grew in age.

As children  his sister had to work hard, had to be perfect in whatever she did, for her to get even get a reaction from her him. Yet all Michael had to do was get a sticker on an assignment and the man would shower him in affection and praise.

This caused a rift between the two children. With Michael being the subject of cruelty and pranks from his younger sister who always sought to out perform him in whatever way she could.

While his sister, Angelica, relentless drilled herself towards perfection, settling for nothing less, Micheal appreciated and accepted his mistakes and flaws. Allowing himself to grow as a person. While the both of them felt neglected to some extent by their parents, especially their old one, it was clear that Angelica was effected the worse. She became prone to violent outbursts and asserting her superiority over others, especially her brother.

As the two grew into teenage years, the both started to act out more. Angelica suffering from neglect and the pressure of having to always be on her game to gain the attention from her father began to become mentally unstable, this only cementing with the lost of her three friend who moved either moved away, started hanging out without people, or simply began to avoid her altogether.

Michael started to get involved in drinking, drugs, and partying in a show of defiance and desperation. However all of this would spiral out of control and he would end up having relations with a young woman of Finnic descent, leaving him a father at 18 years of age.  However, this had the desired effects, as his father started paying close attention to his antics afterwards and was quick to curb his son’s actions. As well as gaining full custody of his grandson. Yet he failed to help his daughter and her growing instability.

At some point Odin appears before his sister. Either an oversight on his part, or intentionally, he makes her a Valkyrie and charges her with watching over her brother’s soul. It wasn’t the wisest choice either way, as it lead to Michael's death.

She wanted to test her brother. Wanted to see if he any powers. So she lurked him into the kitchen, where she proceeded to set the entire room on fire, shocking the man. She hadn’t intended for her two year old nephew to walk into the room at the moment, lacking control of her newly found powers she wasn’t able to stop the fire.

However he brother was able to save the toddler, by temporarily controlling the flames long enough to usher the small child out of the room. Moments later, the ceiling caved in, using whatever energy he had left to push his sister out of the way just as the ceiling collapsed and crushed him to death.

Moments later he awoke in the halls of Valhalla. Utterly confused.
