The "Un"-Usual Suspects

Damon had decided to visit the lake. A bunch of different campers had told him about how great it was and stuff, but he still hadn't visited it. What could be so great about what was basically a big pool without cleaning agents, anyway?

Well, he soon understood why it was so appealing. It was quiet, perhaps the quietest place in camp, a huge contrast to the chaos of his own cabin. That meant it was probably a place he could clear his head. Sometimes, the fears and anxieties of all the other campers got a little overwhelming--not that he would ever admit to it aloud, of course; he didn't want anyone to....err....well, worry about him. One of the things that were both good and bad about camp was that there were people who genuinely cared about others. He'd met a few of those people. He didn't want to burden them with a stupid people's-voices-in-my-head-screaming-about-spiders-and-shit problem.

He sat down beside the dock, staring at the clear surface of the water, just trying to get control over the turmoil going on in his mind.

Currently high, and quite sure her identical twin sister will never find her weed, Allisynn had come to the beach.... With Monopoly. And a giant beach blanket... On the blanket was a cooler and chains and umbrella, but... she was high. And cute. "Parley! I want to Parley!" Talking to the blanket as she pulls it. "Repent!"

Damon about leapt out of his skin when he heard a voice cry "Parley!"

What the hell....

Who was that?

A dark-skinned teenage girl was dragging a giant blanket in the sand--what? That just....he shook his head, blinked, rubbed his eyes, pinched himself, checked his pulse....yup, he was fine. Unless someone had somehow slipped LSD into his drink earlier, this girl was real.

And apparently schizophrenic, drunk, or high.

He debated on ignoring her, shouting at her, or trying to help her out. He was leaning towards the shouting until he heard her cry out "That's my peanut!" Sighing, he stood up and made his way towards her.

"Nobody move! I dropped my brain!" Yup, she quoted Captain Jack Sparrow. She didn't actually drop her brain, but the comb that had been in her hair had fallen out. She started looking for it, and then noticed Damon. "You're cute, anyone ever tell you that?"

As Damon approached closer and heard the girl's outlandish declarations of both dropping her brain and him being cute, he caught a whiff of....yup. Pot.

It must've been pretty good pot (if you know the difference) for the girl to be acting the way she was. He believed that there were about five different types of people when it came to pot: those who (like him) don't get very high unless it's good/really expensive weed, those who don't get high at all, those that puke, those that get pretty high even if it's terrible weed, and those that got so stoned they didn't even know they were stoned. There were probably more, but he wasn't a pothead so he didn't keep up with that stuff.

"How much?" was all he asked. If he knew how stoned she was, it would be easier to help her out. "How much? A blunt?"

She'd look at him, then sigh. "I'm not a dealer. If you want a dealer, you'll have to go into town." Turning her attention back to the loaded beach blanket, and spoke. "Where is your rebel base?! Where is it?!"

Oh. "No, I meant how much did you smoke," he repeated, slightly unnerved by the girl's assumption. He was even more unnerved by her unusual behavior (who goes from Jack Sparrow to Star Wars?). He looked around to see if anyone was nearby because it was just that awkward and he didn't want anyone to report him for trying to buy pot. "I'm not looking to buy right now. Did you smoke a blunt? How much did you smoke?"

"Oh. That." Her cheery demeanor would fade. "I really don't want to talk about that. You're still cute, you know that, right?" She'd sigh heavily. "Sometimes I'm high, sometimes I just smell like it. I have an overbearing twin sister who is literally the light of my parents' life.. and it hard living up to her example... So I started using... " She'd sigh again, then move close to him... And then kissed him on the lips.

Never before had Damon been more surprised in his life--and he was the son of the Greek god of fear who had been attacked by a freakin' werewolf.

But this was a girl.

Kissing him.

Then he was kissing back.

OOC: Look what you made me do! Look at this mess! ARRRRGGHHH *killing you in my mind*

Once the kiss was finished, she'd smile at him. "I like you. Wanna date?" High or not, she knew what she wanted. And she didn't want to use this boy to rub it in her sister's face. She wanted an actual relationship. "Oh, what's your name, cutie?"

What the hell was up with him today? First, he tried to help out a girl who was stone cold. Then, he made out with her. Now she was asking him out and he didn't even know who she was or anything.

"Uh....Damon, Damon Oleander," he stammered, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "And uh....can you tell me your name first?" he added slowly. Shit, was he actually considering the girl's offer?

"I'm Allisynn Sanders, but you can call me 'Alli' or 'Synn'. Doesn't really matter that much to me." She study him. "That's a pretty cool name, Damon. About the only cool think about my name is the spelling, since it's pretty unusual." She then looked unsure. It wasn't him, it was her. Despite being an identical twin, she'd always lived in her sister's shadow...

Damon couldn't help but smile at the girl's ranting. "I like your name. Allisynn. Has a nice ring to it," he said, and he meant it. She really did seem like a nice girl....even the weed couldn't hide that. He felt something near the base of his skull and tried to resist it; however, Damon being Damon, he utterly failed and had to listen to it anyway. She was....afraid that she was always going to live in her twin's (another set--why Fates?) shadow. "Look, uh--well, do you wanna wait until you're not high to ask me that? About....getting together?" he asked--how does one even ask that in a normal way?

She'd pout, and damn, she looked adorable when she pouted. "But if I ask you then, you'll say now..." Now she looked sad, as if this always happened to her. "I'm too quiet and shy when not using... Nobody likes me..." Partially true, but then, she did have an overachieving twin that ruined things for her. Stupid Alexa

If the girl was trying to guilt-trip him, it was working pretty well. He immediately wanted to make the girl stop giving him That Look, like she was a kicked puppy that just wanted some attention. A kicked, stoned puppy, but oh well.

"Hey, hey, hey, it's all right, it's fine, don't flip out," he said soothingly, lighting placing his hands on her shoulders in an attempt to calm her down. "I don't wanna upset you, okay? All right?"

She'd sigh, before responding. "YES I PUT MY NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIRE! I understand... I just wanted to get into a relationship so my sister stops nagging me about everything. Also, I stand by my initial statement: You're cute. And I mean, really cute." His touches pleased her, and she wasn't entirely sure why. But they were nice.

Damon sighed. Camp had been nothing but one unusual experience after another. He wondered if his father had done something stupid in the past and he was being punished for Phobus's sins. Maybe the Fates just thought he was a cruel joke to play on the world. He rubbed the back of his neck again. "I mean....if you're sure you'll feel the same later...." his voice trailed off. What was he doing? What was he implying?

"Oh trust me, a boy as cute as you? I'd never say no. Besides, I've seen most of the guys here in the Camp, and you're the cutest." She was actually being honest, here. She was bi, but Damon was the most attractive person she'd seen so far. She'd lean into him, enjoying the feels of his body, and his scent.

Damon relaxed a little, loosening up the tension in his body. Allisynn was leaning against his chest, and it surprisingly felt pretty natural. He'd never really had a serious relationship before and was kind of....well, iffy about how this was going. He had no idea whether the girl was completely serious or not--something he would have to figure out later, he guessed. "Sure," he mumbled, uncertainly.

She smiled, but didn't say anything. She was enjoying the touching of their bodies. It felt... right, to her. Also, Alexa wasn't around to ruin everything like she usually did.

"So...." Damon began, sort of embracing Allisynn, "you wanna talk? Other than me being cute and your sister, I mean." Strange, how even the simplest request could be totally botched up by the son of Phobus. He wondered how long it would take for her to realize this--if she hadn't already, that is.

"Huh? Oh, uh sure." She'd gotten lost in the moment there, for a little bit. "What do you want to talk about?" Those eyes sure were dreamy.

"Hmmm...." Well, Damon liked comic books. He could talk about comic books. He could talk about how superhero costumes had changed from comic book form to movie adaptations, such as Hawkeye's outfit in The Avengers versus the attire that the hero had originally adorned. He could talk about the stupidity in making Steve Rogers an agent of Hydra. He could talk about why his favorite character of all time was Rorschach from Watchmen, or why he couldn't stand anything Iron Man-related. He could talk about literally anything about comics.

But Alli was a girl, and an attractive one at that, so he wasn't sure she would enjoy such conversation the way he would.

"Tell me about yourself," he said finally, and he meant it. "What do you like?"

She'd shrug. "Well, I like pot. Being high calms my nerves a bit. Helps me deal with my inadequacy, since Alexa literally outshines me." Her sister was a human lightbulb, for crying out loud. Talk about massively overachieving siblings! "I enjoy long walks on the beach, sleeping in on Sundays, Pizza, Shooting things with my crossbow, and eyeing cute boys. So, what about you?"

Damon took a moment to try and embed these things into his mind before answering. "Well....I like comic books--especially DC," he began, which was something that was hard for him to admit, with most of the world consisting of Marvel fanboys and fangirls; but the likes of Batman, Slade Wilson, and the Green Lantern Corps. (yes, the movie sucked, but who cares?) were better than anything Marvel had to offer--with the exception of Spider-Man and the Inhumans, maybe. "I like music, too--like, punk, grunge, or heavy metal. Ozzy Osbourne  is a god--not literally, I mean, but....well, in a figurative sense. I like to play chess but no one besides the Athena kids really play that here, and let's just say I'm no match for a freakin' 21st century Bobby Fischer."
