New friends? (Nakoma and Evie)

Nakoma was walking alongside of Evie. "So this is new Rome, have you been here?" she question looking over at the maybe new found friend? Before looking at the town again, they had just gotten past the guard without much problem and was now in the streets. Nakoma had been there to get things from the shops from time to time. So she knows her way around, most of the time.

"Yes, for a little bit. I don't really know my way around here yet." Evie told her, she had been here only once and that was only a drive through the night she got here, and a second time when someone took her to get food. That was it though, she'd get lost easily if she wasn't with someone else.

She nods a bit "yeah, well you are new, so I guess it's no surprise that you haven't been here before much" she says in a soft voice, as she looks around, not really knowing what to do. "Anything you wan't to do Evie, like shopping or?..." she trailed of as she rarely took control of anything.

"Hmmm I don't know... What's the best places to go around here?" Evie asked.

"I am sorry, I don't know, maybe the book shop? over there, they got some antic books" she said looking to the ground.

"Cool! Sounds like a good idea!" Evie said, grabbing her arm and dragging her into the small book shop. Evie was actually kind of curious to find out what books may have been written after she got stuck in the casino.

She blush a tiny bit, not used to so called friends at all. "So, mind if I ask you a question?" she say as she looks at all the books with eyes that almost sparkle.

"Depends on the question." Evie smiled, "Shoot." She told her, making her way towards the antique books. Well to everyone else, they were antiques to her some of them could be considered new cause she was living it up in the casino while they were being written and published.

She took up an old book before looking at Evie "How old are you and where are you born?" she spoke a bit fast looking into the book afraid that it was to personal to ask.

"Hmm... I guess I'm still technically 16. I was born in Tennessee." Evie told her, not finding anything wrong with the questions. She picked up a book that had been written a few years after she went into the casino. It looked pretty interesting, so she kept it in her hands as she continued to scan the shelf.

"Technically?" she question, never knowing when or if she went over board with her question and of course afraid to do so. As she looked around she found an old book about magic and you never knew when it was helpful or not, so Nakoma picked that one up.

Evie laughed, "Sorry, some people know some people don't. I just assume everyone knows I was stuck in the lotus casino for almost 70 years." She explained, "Which also explains my love antique books." Evie told her this nonchalantly, she's found that it freaks people out less that way.

She looks a bit surprised "oh" is the only answer she could think of as she looks at Evie "well books is great anyway, less drama then people" the last thing she said comes out in a low voice more to herself then to her new friend. Friend that was a rare word she would use, even up in her own mind. The girl had friends, just not many of them yet.

Evie smiled, she'd had people react worse than just 'oh' before. "That is true, I enjoy books sometimes more than people." She agreed with the girl.

She nods "yeah, books let's you forget everything around you and let you be yourself in you own little world" she says almost dreamy here looking at another book. This was actually fun for little Nakoma.

Evie nodded in agreement. She loved books, but then again TV and movies and things like that we're just starting to be invented, so books were really the only source of entertainment, along with music that is. She loved books and music. Once she picked out the "antique books" she wanted, she moved onto a row of more modern books that were written in the current century.

She smiles a tiny smile and looks over some more books wondering about a spell, maybe she could try to make her own? She shook her head before tripping a bit after Evie. "find something interesting?" she ask looking at the new books.

"Yeah. I missed all the really good books apparently." She said, laughing. She had a stack of five books, and she wanted to buy at least two more.

She looked over and smiled, someone how liked books couldn't possibly be bad, no way. "You need some help to carry?" she question in her usual soft voice. She herself was only carrying two books as she had a lot more back at her Cohort.

"No! I should be fine." Evie smiled, getting in line to pay for them. They weren't to big of books, and once they were put into a bag they'd be easier to carry.
