Body type: Katarina is a prime example of the ectomorph body type. Being so tall makes her look extra skinny although her weight is normal. She has no muscles due to her zero training, her asthma a pretty easy excuse to also avoid training. She has very tall but thin legs, a very few curves and no self-esteem problems.

Personality: When you ask someone to describe Katarina, you'll usually here these three words: Shy. Nerdy. Quiet. But that's not all there is to the pretty daughter of Psyche. Yes, she is usually withdrawn and chooses the quiet of her own room than boisterous activities. Once you get to know her though, she is smart, witty and passionate, and can even be loud herself! The laugh of the optimistic young girl is contagious and, although her circle of friends is small and the one of her real, true friends even smaller, those you have seen the true colors of this beautiful soul don't regret the effort they had to put into getting to know her.
Talents: Despite her hatred for sports, Katarina is a very good runner due to her long but strong legs. She loves making 3D puzzles and is the one who will always be there when you need her.
Flaws (at least three): She is incredibly clumsy, another reason the camp lets her off training, she can be considered a hot-headed stubborn mule concerning subjects she is passionate about, she is also blind without her glasses.

Weapon (Celestial bronze/Imperial gold/Egyptian bronze): An Imperial gold dagger, gift by her friend Milo, that turns into a bookmark.
Abilities: It's not really an ability as much as a characteristic: Katarina has butterfly wings. Some old legend had her mother have butterfly wings, a rare occurrence in her children. They're not the normal fairy type wings most of us have in mind, they are large, strong blue wings with black details, soft and delicate to the touch but able to carry her weight. Not a lot more, possibly another lightweight person for a very small distance. They were just there when she was younger but she has now learned a trick to control them. She rarely lets them free unless she's in a very familiar environment.

History: Josef met Psyche just at the age of 20 years on a college exchange program in Seattle, where she posed as a student from France. She left the program a few months into their relationship and, at the end of the program, he went back home, quite surprised at meeting her at his front door with a baby in her arms. She stayed with them for Katarina's first five months, taking the time to explain to him who she truly was. The existence of a safe haven for all demigods made Josef move to America when Katarina was just 3 years old, his overprotective side seeking the assurance of nearby safety. Katarina had a boring little life. Not very much a girly girl but also not really a tomboy, she never fitted well. That wasn't a problem though since she found lot of friends in the form of fantasy and sci-fi books and series. Even when her dad told her about her heritage and took her to camp for her 10th birthday in hopes to improve her social skills, she didn't manage to find any friends among the other demigods. Most kids were too old to hang out with her and when she finally got older, she chose for herself to avoid most human interactions. The one time she broke her rule was when she met Milo, her now best and most loyal friend and co-fangirl. She did mind at first when people teased her about possibly dating the slightly older guy but she learned to ignore them and just go on with her life.
