the magic's in the moonlight (p)

Cypress was really excited about Iain and his time out passed curfew. He didn't know exactly what was going to happen between the two of them, but he knew that it was going to be a night to remember. He was already up dressed in a green hoodie and blue jeans.

When he opened the door, he saw Iain. "Oh, hey!" He whispered with a wide smile. "Ready to go? I'm so excited!"

"Oh, y-yeah." Cypress blushed and squeezed his hand some and smiled . Gods, this made his heart beat faster. "So, uh, shall we?" He bit his lip and started walking toward the strawberry fields. He hoped this went well.

The son of Demeter laughed a bit out of nervousness. "Yeah, yeah. It is a beautiful night. The moon makes it even more, uh, beautiful." Shit, he used that word already. Cypress shook his head and chuckled. "Sorry, this shouldn't be awkward. We've kissed, but that doesn't mean it should be weird, y'know?" He huffed. "You have a spell to combat awkwardness?"

Cypress smiled. "Don't. Don't apologize. I wanted to see the way your hazel eyes sparkle in the moonlight." The son of Demeter smiled and looked around at the strawberries around them. He decided to try something. He plucked a ripe strawberry from the nearest bush and leaned in a bit and offered the berry to Iain's lips. Biting his lip, he waited in anticipation.

Cypress chuckled a bit and lowered the strawberry from his lips. He stared down at the bitten fruit before pressing it to his own lips and taking a bite out of it. His brown eyes locked with Iain's. It felt almost surreal. "You're right, it is good."

Cypress turned his head to look at the campfire and smiled a bit. He only hoped that it didn't attract attention from the harpies. That wouldn't good. The son of Demeter bit his lip and looked over Iain. Taking in a deep breath, and crawled over to the son of Hecate and laid down beside him.

Cypress bit his lip, feeling his cheeks fill up with blush. He looked over at their hands being together and smiled nervously. "Yeah, it sure is." He turned his attention back at the sky. Unknown to Cypress, a rose was growing by Iain's head. "Thank you for taking me out here and showing the stars."

Cypress looked at Iain, then at the rose. He immediately sat up and blushed, looking down at his lap. "Y-yeah, I did. I'm sorry. Things like that happen sometimes. I'm sorry." He blushed more and slowly looked over at Iain. "Hm, uh, yeah, I have. I had about two boyfriends before? One here and one back in the mortal world."

Cypress slowly turned to look over at Iain and bit his lip. He felt his face become hot again and he wasn't sure if he was able to breath. Those eyes did something to him that rarely anything else did. The son of Demeter nodded his head at what Iain told him. "I...know. Muir told me." He took his hand and rested it on Iain's knee. "And that's okay."

Cypress bit his lip. "He told me that it's hard for you to feel things and that..." Cypress bit his lip and looked down. He didn't know if it was okay to say what he was about to, but he knew that in order for them to be comfortable around each other, he had to speak. "He told me that you almost killed your brother because he used to pick on you because you were gay."

"No, no, he was just trying to fill me in!" Cypress defended Muir even though he wasn't sure if Iain would appreciate it. When he asked him why he decided to stay and come with him if he knew that about Iain, Cypress didn't have an explanation. The son of Demeter bit his lip and looked down. He moistened his lips and turned his attention off to the side at one of the strawberry bushes. "...Because I feel...connected to you. I know it sound weird and everything, I'm sorry, Iain."
