History: ashi was one of seven girls, the youngest baby in a batch of septuplets born in a cave turned temple dedicated to the spirit poena. they were raised in a cult of suffering that believed society had grown weak willed and needed a purge and correction of society. the sisters were raised to be the deliverers of punishment, the warriors capable of delivering the punishment needed to correct society. there were no attachments, no leisure, no appreciation of beauty. they lived with the austerity of the amish and the training schedule of the spartans. leisure time was spent learning necessities, things like catching and cooking food, sealing up training wounds, repairing clothing. any sign of weakness was met with punishment, and death was failure. they weren't sisters, they were just warriors who fought together. they knew each other's strengths and weaknesses in fighting, but that was all.

of the seven of them, ashi was considered the weakest. she was always the one stopping to admire nature and slipping up in practice. she always got back up on her feet, always managed to bounce back from her punishments. she learned to hold back her "weaknesses" and become the best fighter she could.
