The Character Form Explained Empty
PostSubject: The Character Form Explained   The Character Form Explained Icon_minitimeMon Feb 13, 2017 3:58 pm

So, I have become aware in the past 24 or so hours that the character form may not be completely clear. To help out, I'm going to explain the parts that may be confusing to you. I apologize for the inconvenience, and genuinely hope that this hasn't ruined the site experience for you.

Name: Self-explanatory. No characters with the same name as obviously famous people (as in Justin Bieber) or characters (as in Harry Potter).
Age: Between 7ish or 8ish and 19 please.
Gender: Self-explanatory
Sexuality: Self-explanatory
fc// (if there's one): This stands for "faceclaim," as in a person that represents what your character looks like.

Country of Origin:  Self-explanatory; real countries only (ex. no Candyland)
Place of Birth (Olympus, city or town): Where your character was born at. If they were birthed by a goddess, it's entirely possible they were born in Olympus.
Race: This means ethnicity (ex. Caucasian, African American, etc.)
Skin color: Just match the ethnicity/race
Hair color: Self-explanatory
Eye color: Natural colors only please, unless they use colored contacts
Height: How tall your character is. Preferably in inches/feet because your fellow admins are both American, but meters/centimeters and such are fine. Americans are just difficult xD
Weight: How much your character weighs; take in to consideration the training they go through in a day and their body type
Body type: Skinny, mesomorph, curvy, etc. A general shape of the body

God Parent: Anything but Titans, Big Threes (unless bought), and virgin goddesses (except for Athena) are allowed
Mortal Parent: The mortal that had your character with the god/goddess
Legacy of: Roman only. Legacy is anything more distant from a god than child. Ex: grandchild, great grandchild, etc. If this character is strictly a legacy and not a demigod, you are allowed to be a legacy of two different gods/goddesses.

Personality: Put as much thought into this as possible. This is quite possibly the most important part of the character. Are they polite or rude? Are they charismatic or boring? What are their goals in life? Consider these questions while doing this part.
Talents: Things your character are good at (ex. swimming, jump-roping, combat)
Flaws (at least three): Fears, weaknesses, pretty much anything that harms your character mentally or physically. ADHD and dyslexia do not count here.
Abilities: Things your character can do without using energy (ex. talking to giraffes)
Powers:  Things your character can do using energy and that have a cooldown. Try to use this in a # of post format (ex: Jane can create small thunderstorms, that stretch over a 5 by 5 feet area. It lasts four posts. She has to wait 4 posts before doing it again)

History: A general background of your character. To make it simpler, try this format: where they were born, what their childhood was like, when they were taken to camp, when they were claimed, their experiences in camp. Try to make this 5 or more sentences.
RP Sample (required for first form): A general sample of what your character is like. Only required for your first form. (ex: Jane was at the beach, sitting on a towel and enjoying the sun and cool air.) Try to make this 5 or more sentences.
Notes: Anything extra about your character

Also, I would recommend you fill out the extra stuff portion. It's a nice way to get to know your character and get some extra money. Take it in this perspective: as of 4/17, there are 14 things to fill out in this part. You get 10 coins for each. If for every one of your base 10 characters you fill out this part, that's 1400 coins just from making forms. Character slots cost 750 coins. You basically got two slots just filling this out. Here's this part explained:

Weaknesses: Things that your characters aren't good at, things that they're scared of, etc. Anything that negatively effects your character.
Pets: Any animal your character may have. Exotic pets must be bought.
Likes: Things that your character enjoys in life
Dislikes: Things that your character does not enjoy in life
Hobbies: Things your character does to entertain themself
Dream job: The job that your character hopes to have one day
What do they want the most in life right now?: Self-explanatory.
Secrets: Things your character hasn't told others or has told very few people.
Worst fear: Self-explanatory
Ideal boyfriend/girlfriend: Their ideal boy/girlfriend. This can include looks, personality, likes, etc.
Insecurities: Things your character are insecure about (things about them they aren't comfortable with)
Former/current relationships: Friendships, boy/girlfriends, half-siblings, etc.
How parents met: Self-explanatory.
Time in camp (Greeks)/the Legion (Romans)/Hotel Valhalla (Norse)/Brooklyn House (Egyptians): How much time they've spent in their mythological safehaven

Thanks, hoped this helped! If you're still confused or have any suggestions, feel free to ask me or Green!

Could you add the "extra" stuff to the explanation, please? Just for clarifications
