A Little Romance (Allisynn & Damon)

She'd be picking some strawberries to bundle up for the camp to sell, cheerfully whistling as she worked. Since she and Damon had hit it off, she'd been in a much happier mood. Her sister kept demanding pot, but Alli couldn't remember where she'd hid it, so she hadn't been able to do any for a bit. Still, she was in a good mood. She'd stop, distracted by thoughts of Damon...

Damon didn't like the strawberry fields. He didn't like anywhere in the camp besides maybe the lake, since that's where he met Alli. Why, you ask, does he not like strawberry fields? Well, for one, it was sticky. And the smell was overpowering. And the flies....they were awful. Awful. Hell, the only reason why he was coming here was because some girl in his cabin told him that she remembered seeing Alli walk towards the fields. Oh well. The girl claimed to have photographic memory, so he took her word for it.

Indeed, Alli would be there, a several baskets of plump strawberries ready to be packaged and sold. She'd been there for a few hours, humming to herself. She happened to get up and look around, which means she noticed Damon. She'd drop what she was doing, and wipe her hands off on a towel, then start running to him, an expression of joy on her face

He grinned as she ran into his arms and he lifted her a bit, pecking her on the side of her neck as he did so. "Hey, Al," he laughed. "Having fun getting your hands all dirty without me?"

Before she replied, she'd kiss him on the lips, passionately, first. When she broke the kiss, then she'd speak. "Nah, it felt like you were there with me, then entire time. It's one of the only reasons I was able to work so hard." Yeah, he was pretty much on her mind all the time now. Alexa had pulled her hair for like 20 minutes and she hadn't noticed until like 2 hours later that her scalp sorta hurt. "So... what do you want to do?" She'd have a mischievous look on her face.

Gods, she looked so beautiful like that. Damon shrugged, adopting the carefree look of a boy who was up to no good and didn't give a damn about the consequences. "I dunno....want to just go out in the woods?" he suggested, cocking his head to one side.

"Sure! Let's just go and drop off the strawberries, and we can have some fun out there. As long as the Giant Ants don't show up, I mean." Because nothing ruins love like giant Ants." She'd wiggle free and dart off to grab the baskets, and then jog back, the wind blowing her hair as she headed for him.

He couldn't help but grin like an idiot as their fingers intertwined. Being around Alli was....intoxicating. He had never felt anything like it before meeting her. Damon readjusted his grip on her hand, holding it more firmly. They walked out of the strawberry fields like this. "So....how's life without me going?" he asked.

She'd sigh, sounding fairly unhappy. "Miserable. My sister keeps trying to find my stash, and I don't even know where it is. I'm pretty sure if she saw us together, she'd accuse you of hiding it. She's really starting to piss me off. Mom's favorite, overachiever, and she can't let me have something unique? It's her fault I started using in the first place!" She didn't mind pouring out to Damon, he seemed to care. Or maybe he didn't, but he was a good listener! "I'm spacing out more and more. I think Alexa was pulling my hair this morning, but I didn't notice for a long time." Mostly because she'd been thinking about him

Damon had never met Alex, but he already didn't like her. Anyone who caused someone like Alli that much psychological damage had to be oblivious to everything. Sighing, his hand left hers as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders and brought her in closer to him so that there was no space between them. He didn't say anything--he didn't need to say anything. Alli could just talk it out, just blow off some steam. She didn't need Damon's advice or input, and he knew it. She just needed him there.

All she wanted at the moment was him. He seemed to bring the world into focus, and made her as happy as the pot did. Would she give up the pot? Eventually. "I think she means well, but she just doesn't realize how annoying it is to be compared to her. We're identical, and I guess some people may never learn to tell the difference..." Which was weird. "You must be lucky that you don't have go through this"

He continued to hold her close to him. "Hmm....I'm not sure," he replied, genuinely uncertain. "I never had real siblings, you know. Maybe it would've been nice. Maybe it would've been complete shit. I don't know," he muttered.

"Well, sisters tend to borrow each others clothes without asking, especially if their identical, because they'll have the same measurements. Male siblings usually just annoy each other or bond. Sisters squabble, bond. Most sisters just bond." She'd sigh. "Alexa is crazy, I'm sure of it"

"Eh....maybe not too bright, but I wouldn't say crazy," Damon replied. Crazy's when everyone's voices are yelling in your head. Crazy's when you see those nightmarish things that shouldn't be possible every night. Maybe it's your dad's fault, maybe you're just nuts. "I don't mean to sound like a dumbass, but have you spoken with her about it?" he asked, trying to be the voice of reason.

"Yeah, I've tried quite a few times. I think she just doesn't think I'm serious, though. I asked Dad to get it through to her, and he told me to do a Haiku. I don't ask him for much advice anymore. I even stopped using a bow and arrow in favor of a crossbow. I can still use the Bow, but I prefer the Crossbow. I can peg things from long distance with more power than I can get out of a bow." She'd look at him. "What about you?"

"Well...." Damon's eyes rolled up in recollection. "Remember how I said that I was once part of Kronos's army--which we don't go around telling people, by the way," he added, only half-joking. That piece of his past was known by only him and a few others, two of which being Alli and Chiron. "Anyways, since all of the Apollo kids were on the side of the good guys, us minor gods' kids had to deal with the hand we'd been dealt--which meant no natural archers. Which meant that yours truly had been forced to take up the dreaded bow and arrow and become decent enough with it where I could be lethal with it and also not get my ass kicked. Sword's still where it's at, though." His mind wandered back to those days....Zach telling him to aim higher....the frequent sparring matches....the laughter....the loyalty....the feeling of belonging....

She noticed when his attention drifted away from her and what they'd been talking about, and had short but silent debate with herself as to whether or not to smack him upside the head or poke him. She settled for poking him in the ribs incessantly. "Helloooooo"

Damon's attention (quickly) returned to Alli. "All right! All right! I'm back!" he protested, gently pushing his girlfriend's hands away. It was hard stuff to remember; it was all bright and vivid again, as if he were reliving every moment. He felt sad, all of the sudden. He had tried to block it all out for a long time now, and he'd apparently completely failed. He attempted to hide such feelings from appearing outwardly as Alli continued to poke him.

Seeing as the poking wasn't getting the desired effect, she'd just kiss him. "Come back to reality, Damon. Where my spectacular body awaits you." Yeah, might as well boost her own ego. Since her body was, eh. "...Or am I boring you?"

He snapped back as soon as her lips met his. After they parted and Alli spoke once more, he couldn't help but rub the back of his neck in his nervous habit again. "Sorry, 'Synn," he muttered his eyes darting away. "I'm--I'm just a little distracted today, that's all."

"It's okay... Memories... Things happen... But hey, you've got me now. I can make your day nice and fun!" She'd hug him, smiling. It was interesting how their lives had changed from a simple meeting. Two individuals had grown together, and now were dating. It could've gone the other way, but it seemed Fate, or perhaps Aphrodite herself, had other plans for them.

He forced himself to smile as he wrapped his arms around her. She was right. Memories sucked, but what mattered was now. Plus, why bother dwelling on the bad thoughts when he had Alli to fill his mind instead? "So, guess we're ready to continue?" he mumbled after about a minute of remaining in the same position with her.

"Oh yes. Let's continue." She'd forgotten what they were going to do, so instead, she'd just start kissing him.

It still took him a little by surprise--he was still getting used to this boyfriend and girlfriend thing, mind you--but it was a pleasant surprise, and he was perfectly fine with pleasant surprises of this nature. When they finally parted, he was grinning. "You forgot what we were doing," he accused teasingly.

She'd blush, which looked cute on her. "I did, sorry. I got lost in your eyes"
