I Must Go (Open)

She should not be doing this, the thought drove itself once more into mind with the strength of a spear thrust. The small demigod forced it aside however, she could not avoid it nor ignore it. The child of Apollo long accepted that she needed to return, to journey back to the lair which ensnared her for such a great deal of time, once there she could search for her friend. He may still live and the thought of him being trapped within tormented her constantly.
Therefore it was with a heavy heart she enacted her plan to sneak out of Camp Jupiter during the night and commence the long journey towards Las Vegas. Stealthily she retrieved her weapons, a short bow and arrows as well as a small black rucksack carrying the essentials, stuff useful for emergencies.

It took her longer than she would of liked to get out of the Legion Camp, every second she remained increased the chances of her empty cot being noticed, or someone noticing that her bow happened to be gone. Valerie moved quickly and quietly, every so often flashing her torch. The harsh beam of the light succeeded in banishing the darkness, giving her sight. It was in the darkness itself where she struggled, her vision was all but useless, hence the torch. Though, she tried her best to avoid using it were possible. Such a thing could readily be detected by others. It was far better to stumble in the dark as she headed towards the tunnel.
There it may be slightly harder to leave without someone noticing her. Yet she must go on, Valerie must get past and allow for no one to get in her way. Either they step aside or come with her, but she could not let herself be denied this.

She must find her friend. It was no quest or mission, merely duty, loyalty. It was what one good friend would do for another. Whatever the consequences, Valerie would deal with them upon her return to the Camp.
