Round One (private)

Keith walked to the lake with a grin and a pair of swimming trunks on. He loved the beach, it was the sunniest, happiest place to be in the camp, but sometimes the quiet nature of the lake was much better suited for him. Keith ran a hand through his hair, and scanned the area. He spotted a girl he found extremely attractive and approached her. "Well, hello, there. I'm Keith. And you are really gorgeous. Is this spot next to you taken?"

"Oh, no biggie. I'm Keith, a son of Apollo, and I think you're absolutely stunning. Do you mind if I take that spot next to you?" Keith asked with an eyebrow raised. He knew how on point his hair was today, and how great he looked in his swimming trunks, so he couldn't really imagine her saying no, unless she had a significant other. Keith studied the girl. Blonde hair, hot, definitely his type.

"Cool." He sat down next to her. "Thanks. So, Emi, are you interested in going out sometime? I mean, obviously we'd get to know each other first, but just as a precursor, so we know where this is going. I guess this would be considered the right place to ask you if you're single and into dudes," he said, looked at her. "How old are you?"

"Alright, sweet. I'm 17 years old. I won't be 18 until November. Uh, anyway, do you have a phone? You know, so I could contact you and all?" Keith got his phone out. "What type of things are you into? Do you like swimming or eating or what?" he asked, looking from his phone to her. Keith put his feet into the cool lake water.

Keith entered his number into her phone and handed it back to her. "Comedy, gotcha. I wouldn't particularly call myself comedic, but I guess that works. It's cool that you play the piano, I play the guitar myself, and sing a little. Gift from my father, I guess," he said, trying to relate to her interests. "I guess the best combination of those three would be hanging out at a comical musical? I'm not sure, what would you want to do?"

"Broadway. Huh, I guess we could do that. I've never been to a Broadway play before. You sure do expect a lot on the first date, huh?" Keith joked and laughed. "Alright, I can get us to Broadway. It'll be a piece of cake. In the meantime, you want to swim or something?" he asked, putting his phone away after staring at her contact for a few seconds.

"I guess that's true. Then again, think about how many first dates a person has on average, and think about how much money they have. It could be a really shitty way to lose money fast. I would argue the pants point, though, there are some expensive hookers out there." He laughed. "It's alright. So, tell me about your life before camp. How long have you been here?"

"Cool. I lived in Winnipeg up in Canada for most of my life. I moved here when I was 13, because this satyr dude came and rescued me from my house. Basically, my parents were going to disown me anyway, so it was a good thing. I haven't talked to them since. My mom and my step-dad weren't exactly fond of decisions I was making," Keith explained.

"Yeah," Keith simply said to the non-U.S. line. "Uh, well, I didn't exactly...I got caught with alcohol when I was 13, at a party. I've changed a lot, though. I realized how screwed I would've been had I not been a demigod, I'd probably be on the streets right now." He looked down at the water. "My parents always put immense pressure on me. They were both so successful, and they wanted the same for me."

Keith nodded, being silent for a second. "It wasn't one of my smartest decisions," he admitted, swirling his feet around in the water. "Well, what about you, have you made any stupid mistakes before? Like, anything your parent got mad at?" he asked.
