When the Moon Hits Your Eye Like a Great Pizza Pie....

Catherine chewed thoughtfully on her piece of pizza as she stared up at the sky through the trees. She could pick out the Big Dipper, Orion, and Ursa Minor, but that was about it; it was clear night, without any clouds, but it was still hard to see anything with the branches blocking out most of the sky.

She grew bored of this quickly and looked back over at Rhy. "Hmm....makes you wonder why you don't come out here more often," she mused, more to herself than to him. Catherine looked over at the surrounding area. "The silence, the peace, the stars, the beauty of nature....guess it beats the noisiness of camp sometimes."

"Yeah." Rhyolo then bites a big piece of his slice of pizza. He then finishes the bit before saying, "It makes me wonder..."

Curious, Catherine turned back to look at him once more. "Hm?" Her eyes scanned him analytically. What was he trying to get to? Did he like the stars or something? Or was he just the philosophical type?

"It makes me wonder why this place isn't littered with other demigods. I mean honestly, this place is perfect." Rhyolo then looks at Cat's face. She looked beautiful in the moon light.

Catherine shrugged nonchalantly. "I guess....maybe most campers just don't have a thing for the woods. Or silence, for that matter." She giggled a little bit, covering her mouth with the back of her hand as she did so--a habit of hers that she had never thought about. Why was she realizing it now? She glanced over at Rhyolo. He looked really cute, and this was coming from Catherine, who had never even kissed a guy before (relatives don't count unless you're talking about Lannister relations, you know). She felt a little blush rise in her cheeks and silently hoped that the darkness of the night would conceal it.

"True." Rhyolo then noticed she was blushing. He then starts blushing too under his dark skin. He the looks her in her eyes and moves in.

If you asked Catherine later what had happened, she would have been--despite her photographic memory--unable to tell you a single thing. First he had moved in, and then she had leaned it, and their lips met together somewhere in the middle in unison. Catherine had never kissed anyone before, but it felt so....natural and....well, quite frankly, amazing.

Rhyolo had closed his eyes when their lips collided. He couldn't describe the feeling he was experiencing. he felt a plethora of emotions and his senses were overridden. It's like the universe finally had made sense to him. He then wrapped his arms around her and continued for 5 seconds before he pulled away from the kiss and he opened his eyes All that mattered to him at that moment was Cat and himself.

Catherine stared deeply into Rhyolo's dark eyes as she completely relaxed her body, letting out a soft sigh. She parted her lips to speak, then thought better of it and closed them. There was no need for words. Words could not even begin to describe the fireworks of emotions exploding inside of her, of the thumping of her heart echoing in her throat, of the way Rhy looked like a god, here, right now, in the shadows that the moonlight and the tree branches were casting over him.

Rhyolo sat there in silence just looking eye to eye with Cat. Her beatiful hazel eyes were gazing into his soul. "Uh." It was all he could say.

Catherine giggled a bit. "That," she said at last, "was incredible." For once, she wasn't thinking about a jumble of mixed thoughts and her attention was focused on only one thing: Rhy.

Rhyolo smiled and moved some hair from her face with his hand. "It sure was." Rhyolo then grabbes her hand and took it in his.

Catherine nearly shivered at Rhy's touch. Wow. Everything had just changed so fast. She felt herself squeeze his hand affectionately. "So....let me go ahead and just say it so that one of us has said it--and I think it goes without saying anyways--that I like you a lot, Rhy," she said quietly.

"I like you too Cat. I'm sorry I'm not saying much but you just make me have a loss for words." Rhyolo then squeezes her hand and looks into her eyes. It was as f her eyes were saying I love you.

Catherine smiled a bit. "Hey, don't apologize for nothing," she said kindly. Wow, he looked so vulnerable right now....completely the opposite from his demeanor back in the arena. "I can tell." Her smile grew a little bigger.

Rhyolo smiles. He then pulls her closer kisses her. "Ok, then I won't"

It felt a little different than it had the first time, but it still felt like electricity was running down her spine. When they parted, she was smiling. "Are we going to keep doing this?" she asked, hoping that this wouldn't be a one-time thing.

"Only if you feel like dealing with me." Rhyolo then smiled and looked at her.

"So....I'm gonna be your girlfriend?" she asked, her eyes widening. She'd never been anybody's girlfriend before. Catherine had never been in a situation like this, and though she was nervous, she was also extremely excited at the new world she was exploring.

"And I'll be your boyfriend. " Rhyolo smiled. he then brushes some hair from her face and looks at her. " I love this. And you" He then kisses Cat again.

She kissed him back, not as awkwardly as before, and she was enjoying this. It wouldn't be hard to get used to kissing if Rhyolo wanted to keep doing--which she guessed was normal for kids who were dating each other. Everything was perfect right now.

rhyolo the pulls away and smiles. "You are really good at this you know?"

Catherine shook her head in all honesty. "I have no idea what normal couples do," she admitted, blushing a bit. Her father had always scared the boys off....and she was being serious. That guy may look like a stoner by default, but he had the worst don't-you-dare-even-think-about-looking-at-my-daughter-in-that-way-ever-again glare in existence.

"Me neither, I guess we would have to figure out how together." Rhyolo then hugged her tight and smiled.
