Personality: Kayden is an adventurous, sassy ball of energy who both loves and hates with equal passion. Kayden can study, but unlike most followers of Isis hates to sit in one place for ages at a time, but instead has a more instinctual understanding of magic, coupled with what studying Sadie forces him to do. Kayden loves outdoor activities, including parkour and skateboarding. He loves dogs and horses, but has a severe allergy to cats, which annoys him as he thinks they are generally adorable. History: Born into a small working class family in the outskirts of New York City, Kayden was a natural prodigy in school, excelling in his classes. Most of his early childhood was filled with trouble-making and mis-adventures around his neighborhood and school, although his innate charm got him out of most of the trouble he was involved in.

Around his 17th Birthday, Kayden discovered the tapes that Sadie and Carter had been dispatching in his locker, placed there mysteriously. Curious, he listened to them, and found himself connecting to their stories, sympathizing with their struggles.

This culminated in Kayden awakening his magic by accidentally attracting a demon’s attention and killing it with some aid from Carter Kane, who had been tracking the demon and helped him kill it. Taking him back to Brooklyn House, Carter introduced Kayden to Sadie and the other senior students.

Kayden spent the next few years learning magic and exploring the world on mission for the Twenty-First Nome, teasing the other students, and royallying pissing off demons and monsters along the way.

He discovered he had an affinity for the Path of Isis, and so his training shifted focus over time, and he learned to begin channeling the power and wisdom of the ancient Goddess.  

During his time in Brooklyn House, Kayden took notice of several other students, nursing a crush on Walt Stone among others (Although he’d never admit that, Sadie would kill him), and one of the other students, Shamir. Shamir was handsome, and had that dark, brooding superhero vibe around him, so Kayden naturally developed a crush on him as well, although gathering up the courage to ask him out… well, the usually care-free Kayden still has yet to do that, being very inexperienced in this arena, his nervousness shows in many ways.

Kayden sighed and stood, brushing the dust from the destroyed Shabti off of his pants. Preparing himself, he nodded to Sadie that he was ready for the next one. Watching the Shabti grow to human size, Kayden let a wry grin grow over his face as he skipped backwards, leading the slow warrior on a merry chase around the arena, parrying it’s strikes with deft strokes of his spear.

Finally having the warrior where he wanted it, Kayden thrust out his left hand, speaking clearly and quickly “Stahp” (Sever), launching the Hieroglyph towards the Shabti’s leg, severing it as he whipped his spear around with his other hand to strike the sword out of it’s grip, stepping forward once more to speak again, Ha-di (Destroy), putting his hand on it’s chest as the Shabti exploded.

Kayden looked up, the grin still on his face, looking to the other students and his teachers. “So. What didja all think? Easy as baking a cake.” His eyes flickered towards Shamir, curious to see his reaction, but he forced his eyes back to Sadie to pay attention to what she was saying. “Damn, I hope he was watching.” Kayden thought hopefully, as he threw himself back into the day’s lesson energetically.  

Notes: Kayden’s favorite food is jumbalaya, as it was something his mother made for comfort food when he was little.
