Hello, I love you

Stupid, stupid hyperopia. And stupid, stupid glasses. And I guess stupis, stupid me. I sighed as I rubbed my forehead as I walked out of my cohort and towards New Rome. During my last trip at the hospital, I had somehow managed to break my glasses and, until my new ones were made, I was practically blind. All the blury scenery was giving me a headache, a situation made worse by the bright sun. Shielding my eyes, I tried to discern which one of the buildings were the coffee shop I was working at. Ugh, I can't be late again.

Too distracted in locating my surroundings, I yelped as I bumped into something and closed my eyes, wishing it wasn't a tree. Okay, this is soft. Definitely not a tree. What the-Oh no, not again, I thought as the person scolded me. Great, bumping into people again. Fantastic. "I am so sorry, sir, I did not mean to. I promise I'll pay attention, please excuse me" I rushed to apologize, afraid of who the strange guy was and how bad his temper could be.

"Υ-Υeah, I-I honestly did not mean to bump into you"I stammered, my nerves getting the best of me at his cold and menacing tone. Keep it together, Peter, come on! "P-Please, sir, I-I'm just looking for a place, I'm sorry"

"You would?"I exclaimed, a bit too loudly for my opinion. Just then I realized I still hadn't moved and was a bit too close to the other guy. With a slight blush, I awkwardly stumbled back, clearing my throat in an attempt to dispel my nerves. "Um, yeah, sorry about that."I mumbled and squinted a bit to see his face clearly. "Let's try this again. I'm Peter. Could you please point me to the direction of the coffee shop "Caesar's Hangout"? I'd really appreciate that"I said in a slow, steady voice and gave him a gentle smile.

"I can see stuff close to me, you know. Slightly, but I can."I corrected him amused before obediently following behind me. "And even if I couldn't, I would be unable to discern your jacket as anything other than a moving color"

Koda rolled his eyes. "Whatever." He shook his head and reached into his pocket to pull out a blow pop. "What's your last name Peter?"

"Franklin, I-I'm Peter Franklin"I mumbled, once more unsure about the other guy's intentions. "L-Look, i-if it's too much trouble, I-I'll find it on my own. Thanks for offering but it's okay, I-I don't wish to bother you"

"Shut up." Koda mumbled underneath his breath. His attention went back down to the map in his hand. "I'm turning right." He stated loud enough for Peter to hear. At least he'll be able to get a good look around at camp.

"Okay, okay!" I exclaimed and put my arms up in show of surrender. "You do know I'm just blind and not deaf, right?" I pointed out curiously as we took a right turn.

"Uh, thanks I guess"I offered with a shy smile as I took the small packet and observed it curiously. "So, um. Are you new around here? I've never seen you before and you don't seem to know where you're going."

"Oh, wow! So, you're a Greek demigod? That's so amazing! I've never been to your camp but I hear it's beautiful, with clear blue skyes and daunting forests. Is it true?"I squealed, clapping in exitement. I've always wanted to go to the Greek camp but I never had the opportunity.

"What do you think?" Koda paused and looked over his shoulder at the boy behind him. "...How old are you?" He asked curiously.

"Dunno, I wish I did though, I'm planning to go once may - Um, 18. Why? What's wrong? I know I don't look my age, I mean, most people tell me so, but, I mean, is there some kind of problem?"I asked as I finally managed to contain my babbling. Once again, great work Pete.

"Well, not all people are made to be like you, mister I'm-more-muscular-and-hot-than-you!" I snapped and grabbed him by the shoulder to stop him. "Look here, I don't need your help. I'll find my own way if I'm too much of a bother, I don't need your pity or your stupid map!"

"Try me then! Do it, come on! There's nothing I want more right now than to get away from you and if death is the only way to do that, be my freaking guest! Cause I'm sick and freaking tired of your freaking attitude so you can take your mighty high ego and leave!"I yelled back at him and shoved him away, wishing for once in my life I had the guts to hit someone.

"Maybe I would stop being "such a little kid" if you stopped treating me like one! Sheesh, I don't even know your name and you're acting like you own me or something"I snapped back but still followed him as he led the way.
