Ida was sitting on the ground with her canary Vanilla. Vanilla chirped and sang, circling around her. The daughter of Eutychia was kicked out of the cabin, after someone framed her for something. "Hate my cabin. Why Eutychia?" she sighed.

I was just outside my cabin, playing fetch with Fluffy when suddenly, a loud sound was heard from the forest. Before I could stop him, the hell hound howled and ran off towards it. "Hey, Fluffy, come back!"I tried to call after me but to no avail. I sat and waited for him but 20 minutes had passed by and there was still no sign of him. Always thinking of the worst possible scenario, my eyes filled with tears as I started sobbing. He always came back, for him to be so late must have meant there was something wrong.

Ida was enjoying Vanilla's company until she heard loud sobbing and crying. She stood up and glanced at her canary. Ida looked for the source of the cries and found Cas on the floor. "Ugh, it was you. Can you shut up?" she picked some dirt under her fingernails, barely putting attention to him.

I heard a familiar voice and looked up only to see Ida's bored and indifferent look. "Ida! Could you please help me? I lost Fluffy! He's my hell hound and we were playing and he took off and hasn't returned! Please?"I asked with wide, hopeful eyes and a pout.

"Uhh, why would I help you?" she sighed. Because this whining won't stop unless YOU stop it. a little voice cooed in her mind. Her canary sat on her shoulder, tilting it's head and staring at Cas.

"I-I thought we were f-friends. P-Please, Ida, I-I won't bother you again, I-I promise. I-I just need to find Fluffy, I've known him since I was a kid, he's my bestest friend"I explained, my stare falling to the ground in a shy manner.

Ida massaged her temples and rolled her eyes. "Fine, I'm doing it so you'll stop whining, got it?" she sighed. "What direction did he go to?" she asked brushing some dust off her shoulders.

//I'm surrounded by idiots.

"He just went into the woods, right there"I sniffed and pointed at the woods straight ahead from us. Wiping my nose on my sleeve, I stood up and looked awkwardly at the not-so-friendly girl. "Thank you. I owe you for this"

Ida was grossed out by the snot and let a small "Ew". "Your dog is just as stupid as you are." she growled and stomped to the direction of the woods.

"Hey! He's not stupid! Don't you dare!"I exclaimed angrily before quickly taking a step back. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell, please don't leave me"

Ida turned around and looked confused for maybe a second, before reverting to her normal face. She was struggling not to insult Casius. "So are you coming or not?" she snapped and continued stomping to the forest.

With no reply and afraid of her reaction, I ran behind her, easily catching up with her since her stomping wasn't very fast. "I-I see you've got a pet too. What's her name?" I asked, trying to make conversation but also change the subject.

Ida glared at him. "V-Vanilla." she stuttered in a bashful manner. "And it's a he!" Ida growled.

//"DID YOU JUST ASSUME MY GENDER?? HUH??" the bird said in a Morgan Freeman voice

"S-Sorry, I-I didn't mean to. He looks really beautiful though."I apologized quickly, restraining myself from cooing at her stuttering. "That's a cool name! How long have you known him?"

"Pretty boy." she poked the bird. Ida was usually calm and collected but with this guy she felt really uneasy. She glanced at the bird. "I don't know, forever?" she wondered.

This time I couldn't help myself. "Awww, that's so sweet. It's nice to see that you do have a heart, Ida. I was beginning to get worried"I chuckled and ran ahead of her, afraid of her reaction at my teasing.

"Everyone has a heart. Well, some animals don't but that's not the point." she pouted. Ida stretched her arm, getting ready to beat up the guy. "One more word in that tone and I'll kill you." she threatened him.

"Aye aye sir"I chuckled and imitated a military salute. "So, how have you been? It's been a while since you last kicked me out of your cabin. That hurt by the way"

"Hey, we're here to find the damn dog, not to socialize." she marked. "You can thank the gods that it was me, not anybody else." Ida kicked the ground, which hurt but she didn't make a sound.

I frowned at her hurtful words, starting to feel angry. "Maybe if it was someone else they would actually want to help instead of doing it as a chore to get rid of me"

One corner of Ida's mouth turned upwards as the child finally put up some defenses. "Cryybaby!" she teased him. From all the people it had to be him, whom she was stuck with?

"I'm not a freaking crybaby! Don't call me that!"I exclaimed, cheeks reddening as the blood rushed to my head in anger.

"What are you going to doo about it?" she was messing with him. Ida did not have a problem on picking on others, although she didn't do it frequently.

"I said, stop"I growled, tiny flames of black energy appearing on my fingertips. No, Cas, hold on. You can't lose control, you don't want to hurt her, not really.

Ida took a deep breath and decided to sing her nursery rhymes to get Cas to stop the whining.

"A wise old owl lived in an oak. The more he saw the less he spoke. The less he spoke the more he heard. Why can't we all be like that wise old bird?" she sang.
Ida was a little bit embarrassed that this was her power when other people can shoot fire from their fingers. It was very useful though. She felt a little sleepy, but brushed it off quickly.
