Cookies And Music Are The Best Things Ever

Lucca laid there on his bunk strumming an air guitar, well more accurately air guitaring to a song that he was listing to through head phones. He's been like this for about two or three hours, the songs changed through out the time. Eventually, he got hungry. Right now he felt a little to lazy to get up and walk all the way to get food, so naturally he had planed for this and and a "secret" bag of snacks "hidden" under his bunk. He paused his CD player (so old school I know) and pulled of his headphones. He reached down under his bunk for the bag, and promptly slid off onto his face on the cold hard floor.
"Ow." He sat back up on the floor and checked his nose to see if there was blood. There wasn't and just reached back under for the bag and pulled out a small bag of cookies, it held two dozen of brownie cookies. Of course he had cookies, they were like, his favorite sweet thing since EVER. They weren't as good as his dads but you know, there cookies. What you gonna do? He pulled one out and promptly bit it in half.

August walked through the front door to the cabin. He had a duffel bag in one hand, and a backpack slung over his shoulders. While he liked the idea of moving into a new cabin, he didn't like the actual part of having to move all of his stuff to the other side of the courtyard, it was a real pain to do by oneself. He dropped the bags in front of the only open bed left, happy they were the last of his bags, not that he had too much to begin with. August was also secretly happy that the bed it wasn't a top bunk cause there was no way in hell he was going to be able to climb up it every morning and every night. He decided to finish unpacking later since his ankle was throbbing and the brace was digging into his skin just a little too much. He laid/flopped whatever you want to call it, onto the bed and stuck his headphones in his ears, but not before he glanced around the cabin room and noticed a kid a few beds away had cookies. He was kind of jealous, but went back to turning his Ipod on.

Lucca noticed a new kid walk into the cabin. Though Lucca had friends, they are all mostly still back where he used to live and decided the make the guy a new friend of his. He pulled out another cookie and stashed the bag inside the other bag, which he stashed under the bunk. He went over the kid who just got on his bunk, his stuff just lying there in front of the bed. Lucca walked right up to the side of the bed and promptly held the cookie out. "Want a cookie?"

August opened his eyes to find the kid with the cookies was standing right next to him, holding a cookie in front of his face. "Uhh... sure." He said sitting up, while pulling his headphones out of his ears. "Thanks," he added, taking the cookie.

"I'm Lucca, and you are?" Lucca quickly finished the cookie.
"So, how are you? What you doin'?" He was sure he was coming off a bit weird and awkward, but hey, if he went about meeting people this way he could definitely make friends that are just a weird as he is. He could hear music faintly in the background, both from the other Muse children and this guys headphones.

August sat up, so he could eat the cookie. "Names August. Uhh guess I'm ok, not really doing anything interesting, except eating a cookie..." He told him, just as awkward back. Though August was pretty sure most muse kids were like this. "So, like... who's your mom?" He asked, before the silence could get too awkward.

"My mom is Euterpe. Who's yours?" Lucca asked, his arm moved a bit like Phoenix Write when he talked calmly in court, from the game of the same name. In all honesty, he probably picked up the habit from playing the games too much, but he couldn't get enough of the music that the games had.
"What were you listening too? You know, on the earbuds." He scratched the back of his calf with his foot, though the jean's were a bit rough on his skin, but they were great when he had an itch on his leg.

"My mom's Calliope," August told him. He finished the cookie and was now messing with the cord to his earbuds. The next question Lucca asked him had him stumped though, he hadn't actually known what song was playing. "Uhh... I think it was... Ed Sheeran...?" He said, looking down at his Ipod screen.

"Nice, he's a good artist." Lucca said, "You wanna go do somthin'? I don't really much to do at the moment." Lucca knew of a nice place in downtown Manhattan to do laser tag, he has the money to do it, right now he is just looking for a good excuse to go down there.

"Yeah he's ok I guess." August said, putting the iPod back on the side table. "Yeah. Sure. Whered you have in mind?" He asked, it's not like he had anything better to do right now.
