Training in the Sun

Nicolás was training as sternly as he could, as always, trying to be the best him that he can be. It was early afternoon, He slashed and smashed at the dummy before him. Working as just as hard as he could, like always. Right now he was just warming up, kinda, well it was the start of the training session.

Green eyes narrowed, the tall man reared back with his arm before launching the obsidian spear at the straw training dummy. He was entirely focused as his spear hit dead center of the dummy's chest, and he grinned like a maniac as he went to retrieve the spear. Dimly, he noted somebody else was here, but ignored them for now.

Nicolás grunted as his obsidian sword went threw the dummy's neck, he had over swung with too much force and and spun around once unintentionally. He stuck his sword into the dummy and readjusted his feather covered clothing, and sighed as he did so, it was a hot day, and being covered in eagle feather didn't help one bit to reduce the speed.

Jin looked over briefly at the other man, who seemed to be having trouble keeping his speed under control. Sighing, the swordsman jogged over to the other man. "Having trouble controlling your speed?" He questioned, green-gold eyes holding a slight sparkle to them. Oh, he was definitely going to play with this one a bit. Completely unbothered, he stepped a bit closer, tilting his head with a small grin.

"I'm fine. Just an off day." Nicolás said a bit gruffly. He pulled his maquahuitl out of the dummy, not with one glance at the stranger. So far his day had been one minor inconvenience after another, first it started not being able to find his clothes, which in turn made him miss breakfast, so he was hungry for the first part of the day. Some one also hid his maquahuitl, which he found strapped to the bottom of his bed. Simply put, he was not in a good mood.

"Somebody's grumpy..." Said Jin in a teasing manner, before twirling his obsidian spear in hand. Stepping away a bit, he threw it at a dummy, striking it in the heart. "Hey, you're an eagle warrior, right? What's your name? I'm Jin, of the Shorn Ones."

"What gave it away? The clothes?" Nicolás looked at the man and took in his appearance. "The name's Nicolás Quetzal, nice to meet you." He stuck his hand out for a handshake. Even if he was a bit peeved off he won't let that get in the way of his manners.

Jin's atypical clothing choice stood out, he knew, but he shook the other man's hand regardless. After that, he went to retrieve his spear, grasping it delicately in his long brown fingers. As he did so, his loose clothing was stirred by a sudden breeze, the main white part rippling slightly less than the green and black edges.
