Good Old Fasion Hunting

Akecheta walked towards the woods, 'that stupid Ares kid' showing me up in front of everyone. He needed some time to cool off, and he learned that the best way for him to cool of is to hunt. Seeing the plants and dirt of the woods gave him memories of home, happy ones of his first hunt with the warriors.

I walked into the forest, my xiphos at hand, ready for some training. I used to go to the Arena but some huge fight was taking place right now and I couldn't train in peace with all the shouting. As I walked towards the forest, I noticed a guy I hadn't seen before at camp. It's probably your unwillingness to step outside your cabin. "Hey! You new here?"

Akecheta turned towards the voice, simultaneously flicking his ring into his hand. the ring shifted like quicksilver and took the form of a full celestial bronze spear. "ohh, hi, you started me, i didn't know anyone else came out here, my names Akecheta but my tribe mates called me Red Devil."

"Uh, cool"I muttered, taking a small step back in defense. "I'm Thea. I don't usually come here but the Arena was full today. I didn't mean to startle you"

"I came out here for the same reason, If you want you can tag along" Akecheta replied as he shifted his spear back to ring form and placed it on his finger. "I could use a ally, especially one that's smart enough not to mess with the idiots in the arena"

"Sure thing. I haven't had a monster hunt in a while. Are we hunting something specific or just whatever pops up?"I asked curiously, quickly tying my currently green hair in a ponytail.

"Whatever shows up" the teen replied, "why exactly did you dye your hair green?" he asked

"Well, why not?"I snapped with a glare. I was okay with friendly chatter as long as people stayed out of my business. "Shall we?"I added before heading off deeper into the forest.

"Yes" he replied clearly ignoring the girl snapping at him and he began to walk into the woods.

"It's quite rare but not impossible to find a monster here, you know. Especially at this hour"I said, looking up at the brightly shinning sun. "They do regular clear outs, only a few remain and they are mostly into hiding"

"shouldn't be problem, I'm a natural at finding trouble. once when I was 11 I chased a rabbit into the wood beside my home and ended up running home chased by a bear" Akecheta said with a chuckle, "not like you care."

"Must have been funny"I offered, trying to be slightly friendly. "It's not about causing trouble though. I know a monster nest. It's just a bit further away"

(crap, ment finding trouble, ohh well)

"Lead the way" Akecheta said, "and thanks, since I've been here no one has really been friendly to me."

"I'm not here to make friends, but no problem"I replied, lowering my voice as we approached a large clearing. A few smaller hellhounds could be detected there, some lazying around and some fighting. "I mean, I'd hate to disturb them, but on the other hand, they are monsters"

"Up to you, but I would like alittle warm up" he whispered

I rolled my eyes at his comment as I chuckled. "I was being sarcastic. Come on, you go first"

Akecheta didn't even reply as he lunged towards one and in a fluid motion whipped his spear into existence, impaling the hellhound through its shoulder, Akecheta pulled out the spear and the hound leaped up at him, he pushed it away with the butt of his spear, this thing was heavily wounded but still fighting, he respected that

With a chuckle, I followed his lead, swinging my xiphos above my head before bringing it down to slash through the second hellhound's neck, its roar turned into a whine as it jumped away to tend to its wounds. The others, scared, scrambled off into the forest. With a triumphant smirk, I attacked again, impaling my sword through it's back and out of his belly. With a last, pitiful sound, the proud monster turned to gold dust at my feet.

The first hellhound was lying on the ground, heavily wounded. Akecheta gripped his necklace and summoned his tomahawk, he pushed down on the beast's neck and started savagly cleaving into its torso until it disintegrated into gold dust. "your better than I thought" Akecheta said.

"I guess the same needs to be said for you, Aky. Good job."I offered with a nod of approval.

after another hour of walking, the sun began to dip down towards the horizon. "it's gonna get dark soon, Thea you want to head back"

I took one last look around, frowning at the empty forest. "Sure, I guess. I thought there'd be more but staying here after dark is plainly stupid."

Akecheta led the way back to camp, "See you soon, maybe"
