"Reyna, he's talking about the Greek tragedies, not us. I realize that, but we just kind of got beaten. I better wash up, at least." He rolled his eyes at Emmett's over-dramatic reading- wasn't he supposed to be at the skate park? "It's just my brother, Emmett. Anyway, you go downstairs, make yourself comfortable, I'll be down in a minute." He went to the bathroom to wash his face, and then changed his tattered clothes. He went downstairs.

Emmett kept flipping through the pages, skipping useless parts of text. He wanted the action, not some philosophical mumbling. Who would not prefer super big scale fights to asking what the meaning of life was?

The middle one of the Virgos heard someone say his name. He was like one of those hound dogs that would immediately go nuts when catching a whiff of something. When Emmett heard his name, he rolled his eyes, jumped up and carefully opened the door. "Yes?" he shouted, the whole hall echoing with his clear voice. It was pleasant to hear him talk, if you didn't listen to what he was saying.

She sat down in a nearby chair, sighing heavily. This was too wild for a normal evening. If Rick knew, he'd have assassinated those guys immediately, maybe even triggering a civil war between the factions at Camp in the process by blaming one of the Virgos here. He loved having civil wars at Camp--Rick would've loved to see the Camp burn.

Reyna looked at Emmett. He was sitting there like a drunk. Perhaps he was drunk.

"Hey--Emmett. Greek tragedies, huh? They aren't that devastating though, if you count the loss of lives in comparison to a lot other stories."

ooc: There's a disconnection of where all the characters are at, unless Reyna is in Emmetts room right now? IDK, but let's just say theyre all downstairs

Carter made his way downstairs, clean and with new clothes. He looked at his brother. "Get out of here, dude, we're on a date," he said, sitting by Reyna. "Emmett, I know every part of your childish mind makes you want to destroy my chances at a second date, but I would very much appreciate if you left us alone for now." He looked at Reyna. "What type of movies are you into?" he asked.

Emmett stared at Reyna for a bit, studying her features, remembering small details. "Hello person." he waved at her, and flashed a quick and small smile. Nothing genuine right there. He was mildly tired that Carter brought home a new girl everyday. Of course girls, or everyone in general liked him, but Emmett just preferred the Sophia, Carter and Emmett trio.

"Yeah, I like Greek tragedies, kinda." he shrugged and opened a bag of chips. He was shameless and didn't avert his eyes from her. The boy was trying to guess how long would those two last.

When Carter the fun sucker came back, Emmett immediately turned defensive. The two didn't usually get along, it was a personality clash. Sure, Carter was smarter, prettier, allover better person but Emmett didn't want to back down without even fighting for his pride. It was almost amazing how fast his brother would attack.

He gave the girl a meaningful look, full of 'he's showing you his true colors.' and then looked back at Carter. "I'm not ruining anything. You seem to do that fine by yourself." he shrugged, and kept eating his pizza.

OOC: Tbh, there was really no specification of location so I can't really tell where he is.

She felt a bit uncomfortable with Emmett looking directly at her. She turned her gaze towards the items in the room, but could feel his eyes still staring.

"Alright." she diverted her attention from the Virgo, to focus on Carter, who had returned after washing up. When he brought up the question, Reyna couldn't really tell which type of movie she was interested in. She loved science fiction--but there were few good science fictions nowadays that she hasn't watched.

"Erm--I don't really know. Why don't we let you pick, Carter?"

"Thanks, Emmett," Carter said, shooting him a look. He loved his brother, but right now, he wanted him to leave so he could bond with Reyna. If there ended up a moment where they could kiss or something, he didn't want Emmett just awkwardly watching them. He didn't intend to be rude, but he really couldn't wait for his 18th birthday. He wanted to move into an apartment closer to the Senate House, and live alone, or with a girl he had a future with, possibly Reyna.

"I like anything really, I prefer movies based on historical events, though. I was watching some WWII documentaries the other day, if you are interested in that." He looked at Emmett again. Carter's eyes seemed to say please, dude, this may be my last shot. After the death of Ainsley, he didn't know if he'd ever have a proper romance again, and this could be one of those opportunities to revert back to normal.

Emmett responded to the look, acting stupid and just tilting his head like a lost puppy. He was never sure why girls were not creeped out by Carter's fast moving and bonding. That's why his savior Emmett the Great was here, to ruin potential girlfriends. Or then he was just being possessive about his little, or not so little family.

He clapped his hands to get off the flour on his hands from the pizza. "What's the name of this lady you brought home today anyways?" he asked, poking his curious nose everywhere. Emmett was something to describe with 'dangerously curious'. Always needing to know about where, when and who.

Emmett kind of chuckled when Carter started rambling around WWII movies. 'And that is kids how I met your mom. I showed her a WWII document.' he preached in his mind, with Carter's voice saying that. His spine got small shivers, when he thought of his voice.

Emmett wanted to be a decent human being and stood up, taking a bag of chips between his armpit and hand. "Emmett logging out." he does a small scale salute.

Reyna paid no attention to Emmett, though she had a bit of dislike towards the idea of watching a World War II documentary. It felt a lot like something old people would watch.

"How about we watch Inception again? I've seen it, but we can always watch it again." she suggested. "I think it's a masterpiece."

"This is Reyna," Carter said to Emmett, before he left. He looked at Reyna, then at the TV. He felt relieved- Emmett being here would've immediately made things more awkward. Carter kept slight distance from Reyna while sitting. "Yeah, sure, we can watch that. I've never seen it, though." He put on the movie, and turned off the lights. He sat back down. Carter realized he would've flt much better being on a dinner date and getting to know each other better- sitting and watching a movie for 2 hours had no effect on their friendship/relationship.

He sat back, getting a little more comfortable, watching the movie.

The dramatic logos came. Warner Bros. RatPac. SynCopy. All the usuals of a Christopher Nolan product. Then, the screen lit up as the plot began revolving. She leaned against the chair, feeling a slight chill from the cold of the air conditioner. After all, she was still wearing her dress.

The movie was 1 hour and a half in, and Reyna felt her eyes beginning to flicker. She yawned a bit, then leaned onto Carter, taking his warm hand in hers.

"Do you mind? I'm a bit tired, but I'll probably make it to the end of the movie."

Carter instantly got tense. "Uh, no, it's fine," he said, his voice getting a little high-pitched. He was just so scared of messing up after Ainsley- he didn't want to move too fast and end up killing her or something. It was irrational, he knew, but still. He prayed to Jupiter, as his palm sweated a bit, the hand that she took. Right about now, he wished Emmett was around. He looked at the time, and in a very awkward and slow manner, rested his head against her's. "You like the movie?" he asked, trying to ease the tension.

She shook her head. "I don't like it. I love it." She had always agreed with Rick that Christopher Nolan was a living genius, and had been robbed of an Oscar.

Reyna looked up at Carter. Their heads were closer than ever. "Do you remember that first kiss of ours? Purely professional, to disarm you, but did you feel anything about it?"

Carter nodded. "Oh, that's good." He listened to her, and felt a little more uncomfortable, if that was possible. "Yeah, I remember it. I...I liked it, I guess. I mean, I like you, why else would be here?" he asked, with a nervous smile. "You told me you don't know how you feel back, though." Carter's mind raced- what if this was a trick? What if Reyna was trying to seduce her way to Centurion, and he was just a pawn in her game? He felt so confused, so helpless. He was going to be a legal adult, and still uncomfortable about dating- his first relationship with Aquila went sour, his relationship with Ainsley moved too fast and she ended up dead, because he dragged her along on a mission she wasn't ready for. He didn't want to screw this one up as well.

She nodded. "Yes. I didn't know how I would feel back then. I barely tumbled myself out of a very troubling relationship, which still haunts me. But, you know, I guess now I can move on."

Reyna looked at Carter straight in the eye, then leaned forward and kissed him. Properly, on the lips.

Carter nodded. "Yeah, I actually, my last girlfriend, she-" before he knew it, they were kissing. Carter didn't know how to react- he was just afraid of messing this one up. He closed his eyes and kissed her back, putting his arm around her, letting his worries slip away.

That was, for the moment. They were about ready to come back, stronger than ever.

Emmett was getting hungry, as he finished his chips long ago. He was wondering if the pair was hitting it off, or were they over. Plus, he needed to see that movie. The boy jumped off his bed, which by the way had the entire script of the bee movie in a fine print on his bed cover. He opened the door slowly, and crept down the hall. He was humming faintly the pink panther theme.

When he got down the stairs quietly, he had a little smile on his face. He knew that they had those pancakes made by Sophia. He opened the door leading to the kitchen. "Might as well make some coffee. I want to watch some videos before sleep." he mumbled to himself.

When the coffee was ready, Emmett kicked the living room door open, some pancakes in his mouth and coffee in his hand. When he sees the two kissing, he stops, drops the coffee cup and then howls when the hot coffee burns him. "NO KISSING ZONE. NO KISSING ZONE." he repeated his mantra.

Reyna felt her insides melting, her mind losing its control. She had placed her arm around him, just like he did with her, and they peacefully made out, until the arrival of Emmett, who caused Reyna to immediately break the kiss at the sound of the coffee cup shattering.

"Emmett!" she wiped the sweat from her brows. "Why are you drinking coffee at night, that thing prevents you from sleeping?" the demigod daughter of Bellona quickly diverted from the fact she and Carter were making out on the sofa a minute earlier.

Carter looked at Emmett, then at Reyna, then back and forth. "Emmett, get over it, you're 16," he said, in a not so confident voice. "Don't tell anyone, Emmett. I swear to Jupiter I'll give you anything. Just don't tell anyone, anyone at all." Carter went in his wallet. "What do you want, money? A girl? Emmett, please, man, it's the brotherly code. Don't tell Mom, or Grandma, or Sophia, or Spencer, Shiloh, Charlie, anyone." He grabbed his hair, but it was really short, so he looked stupid.

Emmett finally calmed down and started picking up the shattered pieces of the mug. "That's the point. I don't sleep. I only run on caffeine. How the hell do you think I'm always this energetic?" he asked her, gathering all the pieces in his hands.

He hated when people got intimate in their house. The Virgo house was almost like a holy place or something to him. Emmett looked back at the sofa, and realized that he could never see it the same way again. His beloved sofa.

Emmett was really thinking about firing shots back at Carter but decided not to make himself look like a complete asswit in front of his new 'girlfriend'.

"Yeah, I'm 16. And what are you, 17?" he whispered under his breath, like the bitter old lady he was. He was trying to get the coffee stain from the mat by violently rubbing it. He didn't want ot get killed by his grandmother or mom.

Emmett's face lit up when his big brother told him that he would give anything for him to shut it. "Oh, anything? Nah, I prefer to see the faces on everyone when I tell. Oh and I'm going to blame you for breaking grandmother's favorite cup. And the coffee stain. Oh and there's no such thing as brotherly code, by the way." he shrugged innocently, and went back to the kitchen to dump the pieces in the trashcan.

"Where did that ugly thing right there come from anyways?" Emmett pointed at Carter's bruise. "I don't mean your face, I mean't the bruise." he smiled his mischievous little smile.

Reyna shook her head in defeat, then sat back down to face the TV. Of course, it wasn't the first kiss she'd ever had in her life, or the first one with Carter--yet, it was the first one that she truly meant. She didn't know how to describe her feelings for him right now: perhaps love. Boy, if Rick found out, which he totally will with Emmett running around being a telltale and spilling the details of their little making out, Rick would gut Carter.

Reyna looked at the bruise Emmett mentioned. It looked like one of the wounds caused during the conflict with the two Shermans. She'd never known about the war between the two families, but she was glad she wasn't a Sherman--otherwise, they'd be Romeo and Juliet. And she didn't want to kill herself in the end right after Carter did it.

Carter sighed. "Emmett, c'mon dude, it's just a girl. There's no harm in dating, dude. I just don't want people to know, I don't want it look like this is behind anybody's back. I'll tell the others when I feel the time is right. Please, dude, I know there's some maturity in you, somewhere. Realize the situation isn't your place to tell others." Carter felt the bruise.

"The Shermans, we got attacked before we got here. They also attacked a few days ago, me and Sophia." He felt it again. "But that isn't important, when are the Virgos and Shermans not at each other's necks? I don't care about the broken glass or the coffee stain, although good luck convincing anyone that wasn't you, I care about you being mature here for a second. Be reasonable. What if you and Brooklyn had kissed, and I told the world about it? Wait, you guys never did kiss, did you?"
