Where is my mind?

"That sounds incredible, really. But, before I let you continue with your amazing stories, I have to warn you I'm more clueless in Geography than you. Which means, I have no idea where Denver is"I explained with a somewhat shy smile, a bit shamed in my clueless-ness.

"Europe sounds nice indeed. I've always wanted to go to the french Disneyland, to tell you the truth"I chuckled at my own childishness. "Cause, I mean, come on. It's freaking Disneyland, the source of all happiness"

Maybe, but it's got castles and princes! I don't care if I end up disappointed - which, I don't think I will, by the way - I just wanna go"I whined, crossing my arms with a pout. "I mean, freaking princes and princesses! I wish I could go work there"

"Cause I don't really look like any Disney character"I shrugged and sat down next to him, crossing my legs underneath me. "Plus, I'm kinda hesitant about leaving the camp. I hate it, yes, but even I can't deny I'd die out there on my own"

"Buff up? Have you seen me? Nuh-huh, not happening. Which is why I'm making this story, so we can finally have a place in Disneyland!"I clapped with a smirk, proud of my so called plan. "Yeah, my powers are okay, but I'm not used to the mortal world. It's completely different from the safe haven of the camp."

"Alright, alright, chill down Puck"I chuckled and tentatively reached out to ruffle his hair in a playfull manner. "Nah, not really. I, uh, I'm not that popular in my camp. And it feels kinda weird going all alone, right? Besides, I prefer staying in and reading, I'm that kind of guy."

I visibly paled and shuddered at the thought. "Um.. A-Are you sure about that? I-I mean, it'll be tiring with showing me around and stuff, you won't have a good time. A-And I'm a slow walker!"I added, trying to come up with other reasons to convince him.

I sighed and turned my gaze on the sand beneath out feet, upset at his defeated tone. "It's just... I'm scared of not being interesting enough to your friends and then you getting tired of me and I can't have that cause I never thought I'd find a friend like you and I don't want to mess it up."I confessed, peaking up at him shyly and apologetically.

"I guess they can't be that bad"I mumbled, still a bit unsure but encouraged by Jarek's friendly smile. "I mean, I already put up with you, how much more crazy can they be, right?"I sighed and turned my body to fully face him, sitting cross-legged on the bench. "Alright. What do I need to bring with me for this trip? Rope? Food? Heavy boots?"

"Of course I have, I lived there"I rolled my eyes and huffed. "It's just, you know, we're not regular people. We're freaking super humans! Shouldn't we be prepared? You know, for whatever may come our way? Do you just go without equipment?"

"Oh. That.... Makes sense."I shrugged and stood up, quickly dusting off my jeans from the sand. "So, uh. Are we going today or when? N-not that I have anything to do, I-I just thought I'd ask."

"Oh, alright! Great!"I grinned before looking down at myself. "Should I go change first? I don't know what's appropriate"I mumbled, tugging at my generic black hoodie.

I felt a small smile grow on my face at his excitement. "If they're half as great as they sound, I can't wait."I chuckled, following him closely. "Can we go get food when we get to New York?"
