"Well you probably wouldn't be able to go to your parents house, since they're probably dead." She said, before realizing she probably should've worded that differently. "Sorry, didn't mean to say it like that. Also I'd advise you not to jump out of my car because either the fall will kill you or the thing that's chasing us will." She starts, "I'll try to answer your questions as best I can: I have no idea if I'm related to Agnes or whoever, and I'm fourteen. No I'm not supposed to be driving. The leaders of New Rome, and Camp Jupiter sent me. They discovered you guys, so they sent me to find you." She says glancing over at him.

"So you're really not Agnes?" Evie asks,

"Nope. I guess I just look like her, maybe my grandmother will know who she is." Sophia says, turning onto a dirt road.

Walter growled at the mention of his parents being dead. She was aggravating him, talking all this nonsense. In all honesty, she was probably an undercover cop trying to arrest Walter after what he did to the local gas station a few weeks ago. "I can't believe you're buying this shit! Evie, you're supposed to be the rational one here! This f*cking loon is taking us to some unknown camp seventy years in the future? Sure, and I got As in school. She's obviously an undercover cop who finally got me after busting up that gas station a few weeks ago. Yeah, well guess what, sweet cheeks, the man wouldn't give me my God damn seventy eight cents back! That's a whole bunch of f*cking money! So I beat the shit out of him!" Walter looked out of the window, seeing a few cars coming after them.

"Pull over, I'm going to beat the shit out of the fat heads chasing us," Walter said.

Sophia looked over at him, then smirked. "Listen buddy, I've had a bad week. So as far as I'm concerned, its just going to get worse after I drop you off at camp and head back out for my third assignment this week. So I don't care anymore. Its your death not mine!" She slammed on the brakes hard, as she turned the car to the left, that way the car was acting as a road block. "Good Luck!" She added, as she unlocked the car for him. "I'll be here, whenever you're done trying to prove your point." She said, taking her phone out of her pocket. She turned on Candy Crush.

"What the heck? Guys!!!!" Evie said, as the cars following them got so much closer.

Walter grinned. He was surprised she actually let him go. "Thanks, sweetheart," he said. "But I'm not dying tonight, at least from this. This is a cake walk, this is fun for me. I'll go wherever you want to take me, I guess, I still think you're nuts though. Let me just have my fun first." Walter hopped out of the car, and got a knife from his pocket. He stabbed a guard that stepped out of his car with a gun. Walter took the gun, studied it for a second, then shot another two that got out.

"Eat lead, motherf*ckers!" he screamed, as a few more got out. He shot one in the shoulder, but two more started shooting at him, barely missing.

"Shit!" Walter exclaimed, and hid behind the car. A few bullets started shattering the windows. Walter got up and shot the two. After he was done, he hopped over the car and went over to the now empty car of one of the guards, and hopped in, grabbing the keys from them.

Walter pulled up to the car with Evie and Sophia in it. "You lead," he said, hanging his right arm out of the window. He put the gun in the backseat. "I suggest we leave soon."

Sophia rolled her eyes, but smiled a bit. "Is he always this dumb?" She asked as she pulled the car back on the road and started driving again.

"Yeah, pretty much." Evie answered. "It's really 2017?"

"Yep."

Walter followed them in the stolen car, listening to the music full blast. He noticed the music was a lot different...maybe she was telling the truth? Well, whatever the case was, this music was way better than the music he listened to what seemed like hours ago. Walter got a bit tired after following them for a while. He saw a peculiar device on the seat next to him. He picked it up and pressed a button on the side, hoping it wasn't a bomb. The screen lit up. A passcode was required to get into the phone- but the background was dirty enough to make Walter laugh. Walter threw it on a seat. It must've been a part of this so called future.

After a while, Walter beeped his horn and pulled over. They were on a backroad, so it didn't matter. Walter was getting tired and wanted to rest before continuing the journey.

Sophia pulled over, and stuck her head out of the drivers window. "Something wrong?" She asked, not trying to be pushy, but she didn't have all night, she had to get them back to camp so that she could start on her third assignment, to bring her idiot brother back to New Rome before he got himself and both the Greek and Roman worlds destroyed.

"Yeah, it's called f*cking exhaustion. I'm tired of this. I've had a complicated day and I don't know the last time I've actually slept at this point. Can't I just sleep for a few hours before we continue on to this Rome place?" he asked, turning over on his side and putting his seat back a little (he wasn't wearing a seatbelt in the first place, so he didn't have to take that off.) "C'mon, what's the harm in resting a little?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Look, normally I'd be all for it, but you guys aren't the only assignment I have, because of other unusual circumstances." she said, "I know you don't understand, but we're honestly only like an hour and a half away from New Rome and Camp Jupiter. If you're really that tired, I'm driving a non-stolen car." She really did feel bad. Evie was passed out in the backseat, she probably wouldn't wake for another 70 years.

Walter sighed. "I wanted to keep this car so I'd have one, but, whatever, I could always steal another. I'm still taking this other thing though." Walter grabbed the phone and put it in his pocket, mostly so he could laugh at it's dirty screen saver. He got in the seat next to Sophia and laid back. "It'll all be acceptable if you give me one quick kiss on the lips," he said to Sophia, teasingly, and laughed, making himself comfortable.

Sophia gave him a look of disgust. "I'll slap you again." She said, starting to drive again. After a few minutes, she glanced over at him. "The thing you put in your pocket, it's called a cellphone."

Walter laughed when she threatened to slap him. "Babe, you could slap me a million times and my mind would probably still not be in a worse place than it currently is." He started to fall asleep, when he heard her speak. "What the hell does it do? You said sell-phone, sounds like telephone."

"It is, it's a portable telephone." She said, laughing a bit.

"Well, that's rad, I guess. I only picked it up because it's got a funny picture in the background when I turn it on." Walter got it out of his pocket and held in the power button, like he did the first time. It shut off and vibrated. "What the hell? This thing is shit. Technology has never liked me. I could never get that damn clock in my kitchen to work." Walter threw it down and huffed like a toodler, and then turned the opposite direction and fell asleep.

Sophia laughed, to herself as she continued driving.

In a hour or so, the car ran out of gas and stopped. They were in the middle of nowhere, woods surrounding them, and it was pitch dark outside, except for a few shining stars.

Walter woke up. "Ugh, why did we stop?"

"Damn it!" Sophia said, "Out of gas." She said, banging her head against the steering wheel, while the conversation that she had with her mom ran through her head, "oh yeah, mom definitely lasted there and back. Good job!" She mumbled to herself, as she got out of the car to check the trunk, maybe there would be a gas can. Nope! Course there wasn't. She slammed the trunk shut again, and climbed into the car. "Ok!" She announced. "Gotta find out where the closest gas station is." She was talking mostly to herself, as she pulled her phone from her pocket, and turned on the GPS.

Walter watched as she wandered around talking to herself. He watched her pull out her phone and turn on a GPS. "Gnarly," he said, laughing. "That's like witchcraft, man. I don't think there's going to be a gas station out here, though." He looked around at their surroundings. "This seems like a scene out of a horror book or something. Do you maybe want to wait until daytime and just walk the rest of the way to camp?" he asked, looking at her.

Sophia smiled at his reaction. "We're 30 minutes walking distance from camp, and about an hour of walking distance from the nearest gas station." She said, "We should just get it over with and walk it now, we're sitting ducks out here, and we shouldn't stay here too long, we might get attacked by a monster." She explained, as she grabbed her bag and sword from underneath the seat.

Evie yawned, "What's going on?" She asked, sitting up.

"Ran out of gas, we're walking." Sophia told her.

Walter nodded. He was a little afraid of walking to an unknown place with an unknown person who looked like his ex-girlfriend, especially since they were in the middle of nowhere. Luckily, he also had Evie. "Which direction? And are you sure you want to do this now?" Walter asked, raising an eyebrow and looking around. A howl came from the distance, adding to the spooky atmosphere.

"Don't worry it's just a wolf, and it sounds closer than it actually is. Sound tends to echo around here." Sophia said as she rummaged through her bag for a flashlight. She finally found it, and started walking, "And yeah I'm sure, I know this area pretty well. Besides we got the magic GPS remember?"

Evie yawned. "Ok.." She said, not sure how trustworthy a fourteen year old girl could be, but the girl seemed to have done this before.

"Of course. The Magic GPX or whatever letters you just said. Alright, let's just get there quickly, this place just gives me the creeps, like someone is watching me intently." Walter continued walking, starting to go at a faster pace.

Sophia sighed, "it's not that creepy. I think it's quite peaceful." She said.

"Guys I'm in heels! Slow down!" Evie yelled,

Sophia stopped walking, and dug into her bag. "Here." She handed Evie her extra pair of shoes.

"Thanks." Evie said, pulling them on, then chucking her old military issued high heels into the open field that was along the side of the road. She heard a growl then. "Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?" Sophia asked, almost annoyed.

"It's probably just the wolf again," Walter said half-sarcastically and laughed.

Suddenly, a monster jumped out of no where and in front of them. It growled.

"OH SHIT!" Walter said in a loud manner. "BIG ASS WOLF! BIG ASS WOLF!"

Sophia pulled her sword out, and jumped in front of them. "Not a wolf!" She yelled, and slashed downwards at it, as it jumped at her.
