Lotus Casino break out (private)

The monster turned to dust.

Walter started panting. "Screw this bunch of shit, I'm going back to the car. That wolf must've been on so many drugs it's unreal." Walter started walking back towards the car.

Sophia grabbed his arm. "No you aren't! We're 20 minutes away, ok, probably less. If you go back to the car, your risking more attacks." She said, sternly. "Besides that wasn't a wolf. It was a monster. Now let's go!" She said sternly.

"I'm with Ang- Sophia on this one." Evie said, "we might as well get to this camp place now, then waiting any longer..."

Walter sighed. "Fine, let's just be quicker about it, I like living and sanity. Let's just go." Walter started walking at a quick pace. "A monster? Joyous. Those are my favorite."

"Monsters are only like 10% of it." Sophia says, quickening her pace.

"What?" Evie says, "Oh great!"

"What the f*ck's the other 90% then?" he asked, concerned, following her pace.

"You'll find out eventually." Sophia said, almost smiling.

Walter rolled his eyes. "This is a good time. I'm slowly becoming more aware of the fact that I'm in some sort of coma and imagining all of this," he said, looking around him. "There is no explanation for what the hell is going on, except for that. How the hell were we in that casino for 70 years? Well, apparently even over seventy years."

"The casino is run by a mythical tribe that eats lotus flowers, the flowers aren't normal lotus flowers, they have special properties that make you stop aging, and then make you never want to leave. Time literally stands still." Sophia explains, she could now see the lights of camp. "We're almost to camp."

"Wait... So that mid-western cowboy thing wasn't a theme?!" Evie asked.

"No, they were real Cowboys." Sophia answered.

"We're not much better, Evie. We are almost a century out of place. I have to know a few things, though. What was the aftermath of World War II? Who's the current president? Is America in a good or bad state? Are we in any wars right now? What's the technology like?" Walter was very curious about these types of things. The entrance to the camp was getting close; it was essentially a door guarded by two campers.

"Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, a year later the United States struck back on Japan with an atomic/nuclear bomb that ended the war." She said, "The current president is Donald Trump, who is an idiot by the way, sucks I'm not old enough to vote... There's a war going on right now in the Middle East." She said, "Technology is actually a recently advanced thing. It like, accelerated after the late 1980s, which is when the cell phone and computer were invented, but nobody actually started owning one until like 2003." She said, trying to explain, but it was honestly hard.

"Atomic bomb?" Evie asked, she was honestly lost on this from there.

"Yeah, America was secretly inventing a kill all bomb, that ended World War II." She said, as they reached the gates to camp.

Walter nodded along, listening to what she had to say. "I'm interested to see these things. I want you to show me these new inventions. It is rad that I get to live seventy years in the future, I must admit. The only downside is that I don't have any of my friends or family here, except for Evie. I wish I could see Agnes again and tell her I was stupid...Agnes was apparently your grandmother or something, that I dated. She broke up with me because she thought I was cheating on her with Evie. I had my entire lie planned out, we were going to be so happy...and now all the potential once there to have a great life is gone." Walter sighed, having a hard time accepting all of this.

"Sorry." Sophia said, not really knowing how to respond. They were at the gates now. "Hey, Joey. Let us in?" She asked. "Course Virgo. New campers?" The guard asked, Sophia nodded as he opened the door. She led the two inside. Before turning to them. "I'll show you guys to your cohort barracks, if you have any questions about what was going on while you were in limbo just ask your centurion. Ok?" She said, leading the way to Evie's barracks first, cause it was closer.

"My cohort barracks? What the hell? How do you know my cohort barracks? How long has this camp been expecting me and Evie?" he asked, looking around, as they headed to Evie's barracks. "This place is nice. Where do you live, Sophia? And is this New Rome or Camp Jupiter?"

"We've, well I've been searching for you guys for a week. It's hard to find people when they're stuck in the casino. We're in Camp Jupiter right now, over there is the entrance to New Rome, where I live." Sophia says, before coming to a halt. "Here's your stop Evie. If you need anything just come find me, ok? Or ask your someone in your cohort. "

"Uhhh.... Ok?" Evie says, looking up at the barracks. "See ya then." She said, before heading into the building.

"Let's go." Sophia said, glancing at her watch. Ugh she was never going to get to sleep was she?

Walter nodded. "If there's more innocent, trapped people in the casino, why didn't we stay behind and get them out, too? Aren't we kind of d*cks for not saving them, too?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "Will I see you around ever? I hope so. You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, even more than your relative, Agnes, and I really mean that."

"Because then there would be thousands of people just like you, who have no idea what's going on, or where they are. It's complicated." She said, then smiled. She quickly wrote down her address. "Here, if ya need anything. My house is huge you can't miss it." She said, "I'm not going to be home though, for a couple days, I have another assignment to take care of."

Walter nodded. "Alright, then, thanks." He looked at the address, then looked at his barracks. "I guess I'll see you around, then?" he asked.

"Yeah." Sophia said, "Good luck." She added, before turning around and walking back to the camp entrance.
