It was another mundane afternoon at the commons, which didn’t sit well with the younger twin. After a brief discussion with himself, he decided he was going to spice up today with a little meet and greet with the other demigods. How would he go about doing this? Why, he’s glad you asked! A booth! A long booth, which he would drag his older twin into doing with him as well. Ethan stood from where he sat, then proceeded to disappear and reappear, gathering tools, poster paper, markers, and paint. He worked quickly, the booth being the first thing he finished. The structure was sanded down and smoothed before it was nailed together in such a way that made it look professionally made. Looks like explosions wasn’t the only thing Ethan was adept at.

Next, was the posters. Ethan began to draw small, cute bombs, and a smiley face on his, which was all he needed. He then began to write in huge, neat penmanship, “Explosive Discussions”. This made him chuckle to himself, since, he loved explosions, but the booth was only designed for conversation. He then quickly added, in small, fine print, “Kisses included”. Smooth.

As all this took place, Stephen coincidentally happened across Ethan in the commons. He raised his hand to question his younger sibling, but stopped himself, noticing how concentrated Ethan was. He instead stood there, watching his brother buzz around as he completed various tasks. First, a structure that resembled a booth went up, then, watched Ethan create a huge poster and posting it on one side of the booth. Stephen was curious as to what his twin was up to, but he soon realized what it was as soon as another poster went up right beside the first. This one read, “Boring Talks”. An unamused expression began to creep on the older twin’s face. This was a booth, which he realized, was for the twins to occupy. The “Explosive Discussions” was Ethan’s side and the “Boring Talks” was for Stephen.

Stephen was about to protest, but Ethan had none of it. He began to push his older sibling to the booth, sitting him down under his respective booth. Ethan then took a seat beside his brother, a smile on his face as he then waited for anyone to appear.

“Ethan, what are we doing?” The older twin finally spoke after a long silence.

“Well, we don’t know many people and, maybe, this would be a good way of meeting people.” The younger twin replied, a smirk on his face.

“Why, are you afraid people will actually talk to you?” Ethan asked, leaning back in his seat as his eyes fell on his older brother’s inexpressive face.

“Shut up. I’m only here because I’ve got nothing better to do.” Stephen replied, sneering as he crossed his arms and leaned back in his set as well, waiting for… well, anyone who might want to converse with either one of them.

Karla had decided to go for a walk to clear her head, having grown frustrated with her writings. She was on the verge of perfection, the very cusp of finishing the final part of her work on siege warfare. The child of Athena exceeded particularly in that field of conflict, her understanding of such a style of warfare seemingly without compare. Yet, to those who knew much about such a version of combat would know of how frustrating it can be, for both the besieger and the besieged, but also for those with an interest in it. Her black booted feet appeared to have taken her to the commons she noticed, the small ginger haired young woman having been ignorant of her destination as she mulled the problem over in her mind, attempting to find a solution to the problem which vexed her. She was not about to however ask her siblings for support in this matter, they could only see her work once it was perfected.

Karla stopped when something new in the commons caught her eye. A stand, one with posters and two similar looking demigods sitting behind it. Apparently it boasted explosive discussions and boring talks. For a brief moment a look of surprise flickered across her face, but it soon vanished and her usual calm expression returned. Yet, a glimmer of interest shone in the child of Athena's eyes. She found herself walking towards it, perhaps a discussion with another demigod or in this case pair of demigods, might be just what she needed. Karla possess precious few friends at the camp or people who liked her. Not that such a thing bothered her however, it was far easier if she kept others at a spear's length. Largely for her own protection, situations could resulted in her getting hurt, particularly if the demigods she got to know as well as befriend, died.

Karla was small, barely four foot nine in height, clad in faded blue jeans with a worn leather belt and a baggy Camp Half-blood t-shirt. On each of her wrists was a bracelet, fashioned from the beads of her two fallen closest friends. She could carry the memories of her friends with her, as well as allow for her best friends to still join her in any conflict she might find herself involved in.
She neared the stall, her lips forming the shadow of a smile. The taciturn red head glanced at them both. "Hello." She stated simply, her tone calm and quiet. "I am Karla and who are you?" The daughter of Athena inquired.

Ethan perked up as his eyes fell upon a short… holy. She was cute. A smirk immediately went onto the younger twin’s face, slapping his older sibling’s propped up feet. A groan could be heard from the older twin as he dropped his feet from atop the booth, casting a glare at his younger sibling. Stephen soon realized that Ethan was focused on something, no, someone else. A sigh could be heard from the older sibling, sitting up straight as the newcomer neared their humble booth. Stephen then plastered a small smile on his face, one that would come off as polite. Ethan was stuck in his smirk, his eyes never leaving the short demigod’s as she now stood in front of their booth.

“Why, hello there, beautiful.” Ethan began, planting his elbows on the booth, his head resting on the base of his palms. “Did you wander out of Aphrodite’s cabin? Because, da—“ Ethan was interrupted, his mouth being covered by Stephen hand.

Stephen smiled once more, chuckling nervously as Ethan attempted to speak through his older sibling’s hand. “You’ll have to excuse my brother. He doesn’t have a filter for the things that should be kept in his mind and not said.” He explained quickly before releasing his hand from Ethan’s mouth.

“Anyway, I’m Ethan.” The younger twin outstretched a hand for a handshake, his eyes gleaming as his eyes wandered up and down the female demigod. He was completely entranced by this short beauty.

Stephen face palmed quietly, cursing as he asked himself why he had a twin. Why couldn’t he have been the only who was born? Why couldn’t he have strangled his brother before coming out of the womb? They shared the same face, which was the only reason why he sometimes hated Ethan; whatever Ethan did, it always blew back on Stephen, since they looked exactly the same.

“I’m Stephen.” The older twin introduced himself, staying seated. There was no reason to have any type of physical interaction, unless she suddenly began to choke or there was a sudden emergency that required him to touch her, which were both highly unlikely.

The pair of them appeared to be interested in her arrival at their booth, that was a positive sign at the very least. It would of been far worst to of been entirely ignored. Karla noticed the way one of the two boys looked at her, she assumed they were twins as they looked virtually the same. Not that she minded the way he looked at her, the daughter of Athena knew a few people probably found her attractive. Unsurprisingly, the one who appeared to of noticed her first started speaking first, his flirtatious words catching her off guard, they were entirely unexpected. Much to her surprise, she found her cheeks flushing with colour at his word. "Athena actually." Karla corrected them, though a small part of her happened to be pleased with the comparison to the children of the goddess of love and beauty.

Whatever else he planned on saying was however halted by his twin, slapping a hand over his mouth. For some odd reason this prompted a small chuckle from her, which surprised her. Karla rarely if ever, allowed herself to laugh any more. She nodded when the he spoke, accepting his apology. "It is fine I take no offence." Karla not taking offence to something, typically happened about as often as an honest politician, so the twins were in luck.
"Ethan." She repeated, shaking his hand though she did not missed the way his eyes ran up and down her. His brother seemed to be unhappy with something, perhaps by his brother's clear attraction or interest in her? Was he himself interested in her? Karla dismissed the illogical and potentially dangerous thoughts. She happened to be over thinking things. Not to mention assuming something which really should never be assumed.

"Stephen." She repeated the name for him in turn. Karla's eyes flickered between the two of them, unable to discern any physical difference between the two twins, though her gaze lingered for slightly longer on the one who seemed to possess some interest in her. A small part of her though she would never admit to it, was half tempted to walk away and leave Ethan somewhat dumbfounded.
Perhaps he might even turn up at her cabin asking to speak with her or try to follower her in order to communicate further with her? The thought intrigued her, but she doubted it would be the case. "So you promise explosive discussions, boring talks and..." Karla trailed off for a moment as her eyes ran over the small print of one of the posters. "Free kisses?" The commonly taciturn demigod was for a time quite talkative.

Ethan inhaled quietly as this female demigod spoke, almost forgetting to exhale and breathe as she finished speaking as she informed the twins of her parent. The younger sibling’s eyes lit up as she informed him of her parent. Attractive and intelligent? Hello, dream girl. Ethan sighed quietly, his head relying on his palm to hold him up, since he was practically swimming in hormones right now. For whatever reason, Karla seemed to attract Ethan, but he couldn’t quite place his finger on the reason. Was it her unrivaled beauty? Well, Ethan had seen the Aphrodite demigods and, admittedly, many of them were attractive, but they were prissy and too perfect. Karla, on the other hand, was attractive without being blessed with a god. Maybe it was due to Karla’s tone, a superior one that revealed that she was intelligent? Whatever the reason was, Ethan was absolutely entranced and sold by the thought and sight of her.

Stephen, on the other hand, was embarrassed. He was completely unamused by the puppy love his younger sibling seemed to exhibit for Karla. It was absolutely disgusting; a lack of restraint and composure is the reason his younger brother was manipulated as much as he was. All it took was a few nice words and a smile, and Ethan was yours. This is why Stephen was never able to leave his younger brother alone. Think of all the trouble Ethan could get into if Stephen just let him be.

Ethan smiled, his eyes glazing over as Karla spoke his name.

Stephen, nodded once, acknowledging that they were now acquaintances.

As Karla read the posters, each twin in turn responded in some way:
Ethan smiled as his poster was read, and Stephen sighed quietly as his was read.
As for the fine print, Ethan was the one to speak up as she finished.

“Uh… that one’s really only for me. Stephen doesn’t kiss well.” The younger sibling spoke quickly, absolutely beaming as his eyes studied Karla’s facial features. "I promise I won't bite. I mean, unless you like that..." Ethan trailed off, a smirk on his face as he continued to keep eye contact with the short, beautiful demigod. Aphrodite’s beauty, Athena’s intelligence… what else could this demigod possess? Would she show a love for explosives as Ethan did? The younger twin didn’t know, but he was actually excited to see what was in store along the road with Karla.

Stephen blinked, obviously insulted at what Ethan had to say about his kissing abilities. "Excuse you, I can kiss well! I just..." he crossed his arms, sighing quietly as he leaned back in his seat before continuing to speak. "I just don't kiss many people."

Mikaela and Julieta were walking around camp to just see what was going on the day. It was a gorgeous afternoon out and the daughter of Eros and the daughter of Peitho were dressed for it. Mikaela was wearing a dark purple tank top and a pair of light dark jean shorts, while Julieta was wearing a bright pink tank top and a pair of white shorts. Both of them were barefoot.

Mikaela and Julieta made there way into the common area after spending the morning in the woods, and then at the beach. Nothing had been out of the ordinary that day. Mikaela had learned a bit about a new wind kid who had shown up that morning, but nothing else. That is, nothing was out of the ordinary until they reached the commons and there was an honest-to-gods booth set up.

Mikaela looked at Julieta and then raised an eyebrow. Julieta shrugged and then gestured for Mikaela to start her way over. Mikaela started towards the booth. She put her hands down on it and said, "What is going on here, boys?" Julieta hurried over to Mikaela's side. "Sorry about her. This is Mikaela Winther, daughter of Eros. 10 year camp veteran. She doesn't like not knowing what's going on. I'm Julieta Russo, daughter of Peitho."

As Ethan was somewhat preoccupied at staring at Karla, Stephen was forced to step up to the role of the greeter, which he fully despised. Not only did he find this whole booth to be pointless and somewhat idiotic, the man of the hour was too preoccupied to speak to anymore people. Leave it to Ethan to zone out and stare at someone he thought was attractive to leave him, Stephen, to do all of the work.

A polite smile was immediately plastered onto Stephen face, his facial expressions mimicked a flight attendant's as they asked the passengers what they would like to drink.

"Welcome to our lovely booth, where we give explosive discussions, boring talks, and..." a sigh escaped from between the older twin's lips before he continued. "... free kisses. My name is Stephen and beside me is my brother, Ethan."

Ethan momentarily broke his gaze and nodded at the two women momentarily, lingering on the daughter of Eros, almost as if entranced, but broke it after a few moments and went back to staring at the daughter of Athena.

"Well, Mikaela and Julieta, we are simply setting up shop where we deemed to have the most foot traffic to meet other demigods." Stephen began to explain, adopting a monotone as he went about doing so. "My brother is somewhat preoccupied right now, so, you'll have to settle for my boring talks, I suppose. Yay." It was the saddest, most unenthusiastic yay he could muster as his eyes flitted from the daughter of Eros to the daughter of Peitho.

Mikaela looked the boy over as he talked, and then looked over his brother. "Wow, you two are really identical." The daughter of Eros said, pushing her hand back through her fiery head hair. The brightness of her naturally red hair and pale skin contrasted well against her dark shirt, while Julieta's darker skin and black hair contrasted well against her bright shirt. The girls knew how to dress. Mikaela smiled at Ethan when her eyes caught his.

Mikaela turned her attention back to Stephen. "You two shouldn't be giving out free kisses, you know. Pretty boys like you should be saving those kisses for pretty people." Mikaela said, leaning on the table again, her Danish accent light on her words. Julieta smiled and nodded. "We should know. Love and seduction right here." Julieta said, pointing to Mikaela and then herself, referencing their god parents.

Mikaela sighed when the boy's voice went monotone. "Let me guess, this was all his idea?" Mikaela could tell that the boy didn't seem all too interested. That was one of Mikaela's special talents: she could read deeply and precisely into people's body language. It didn't even take thought with most people, and it definitely hadn't with Stephen.

"Well, if it wasn't obvious, we're twins."A snarky comment was just the thing that Stephen needed to perk up from his previous disinterest. "Twins tend to look identical." It seemed that this booth was paying for itself. Not only did he enjoy being a douche, but he was one who would go out of his to give someone a reason to dislike him. The older twin's eyes scrutinized Mikaela as she seemed to have this innate attractiveness, noticing how Ethan's gaze seemed to be stuck on the fiery redhead when she shot him a glance. Why would that be..?

Oh, of course. These two were just that; the embodiment of love and seduction, courtesy of Eros and Peitho. Stephen knew that his attractiveness to the two new females wasn't a coincidence. Well, it could have been a number of things, but the older twin had self control when it came to checking out women. Still... he found himself almost drawn in whenever these two spoke, especially when the daughter of Eros regarded him. It was almost a battle keeping his composure and not allowing his natural instincts take over.

As best as he could, Stephen smiled, nodding once before speaking. "What can I say? My brother is somewhat of a socialite. I would rather be inside, cooped up in a cabin." At this point, Stephen began to dig his nail into his opposite hand under the table. This allowed him to concentrate on the pain while he spoke, rather than slowly succumb to asking the two demigods to an evening out.

She raised an eyebrow at Ethan's explanation. "No kidding." Karla replied, uncertain what to say or make of his comment on biting. Stephan appeared irked by his brother's dig at him, something which Karla could understand. Though she hoped neither of them expected her to be the judge of such matters, a daughter of Aphrodite would of been a better choice in her opinion. Karla glanced at the new arrivals, she knew them both from around camp though rarely engaged with either of them in conversation, but that was something that was not new for anyone used to living her in the camp.
One of the girls did not appear to be too happy about this situation, Karla decided to not join their conversation however. Stephen seemed to be find with providing them with an answer.

Karla discovered a small flicker of jealousy when Ethan looked at the other two demigods. Maybe it was because usually she did not get a lot of attention from boy, though that could be written down to her not really responding much to them.
She resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the comment of the twins looking identical, such a thing might not be a wise move to make. The last thing she wanted right now was to cause a fight. They were very pretty Karla thought to herself, keeping her own council for the moment on the attractive twins.
"Do you like to read?" She inquired to Ethan, her voice quiet as if she was uncomfortable with the presence of a wider audience. Inwardly the child of wisdom ran through numerous situations that this chance meeting might bring. After a few moments, she brought a stop to it, there was such a thing as over thinking after all.

Ethan was exhibited a somewhat distraught expression as the daughter of Eros lingered at the booth, almost as if she was unintentionally calling for the younger twin’s attention. It would have succeeded, of course, if Ethan wasn’t focused on the shorter redhead he had already grown to like. He continued to study the shorter redhead’s facial features, watching her brows furrow as she thought, which was, in his opinion, a little cute.

As Karla inquired about whether he liked to read, he immediately had an answer. Explosive discussions means an almost immediate response and other things of that nature.

“Well, I do like to read. It’s where I experiment with different mixtures and mechanisms when I create explosives.” He began to get lost when he spoke about explosives, beginning a lecture-like conversation with Karla. If there was one thing he was passionate about, it was about explosives of all kinds: lethal, non-lethal, or ones for fun, like party poppers. It was Ethan’s thing.

It would not of required a Goddess of Love to know that there was a level of attraction from Ethan towards Karla. He seemed to be completely enthralled by her, barely able to look away from the short red head. The daughter of the Goddess of wisdom for the moment at least, did not know what to make of this particular twin. She was pleased by the fact that he enjoyed reading, though clearly they possessed different tastes in literature there. Karla nodded slowly as he spoke for sometime about explosives. She made a mental note to avoid being around him whilst in the possession of any naked flame. After all one errant spark and boom, best to be careful just in case.
"You are extremely knowledgeable on the subject." Karla interjected, unable to really comment much on explosives especially as his knowledge on the subject matter far outstripped her own.

Mikaela rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I know twins are identical, but not even most identical twins are as identical as you two. Like, wow." Mikaela said, crossing her arms. The daughter of Eros liked how fiery this boy could be. Her eyes flashed between Stephen and his brother, trying to read any signs between the two. Mikaela laughed when Stephen said he would rather be inside. "Where's the fun in that?"

"So you two are new? I've been here for about 6 months, and Mikaela has been here for 10 years. We could probably, like, help you out if you like." Julieta said with a sweet smile, her Spanish accent strong. Julieta pushed her hand back through her dark hair, watching Mikaela's eyes shift between the boys. She knew that look. She was trying to get a read on the boys. "What do you got, Kaela?" Julieta asked.

Mikaela looked at Julieta and smiled. "Well, Stephen is the older brother, and Ethan the younger. Ethan is the fun and outgoing one, while Stephen is the quiet, self-oriented, and nerdy one. He can be fun, though." Mikaela said. The daughter of Eros had a kind of obsession with reading people.

Ethan seemed rather pleased with himself as he received the compliment. Coming from a demigod who was intelligent, he wanted to be regarded as such. Well, she said that he was knowledgeable on the subject of explosives and, well, that was enough for the younger twin. When it came to bright ideas, that usually meant that the explosion he would be concocting would emit a bright light, like a flare of some sort, only, brighter.

“I mean… you’re most likely interesting in other subjects, right?” Ethan halted his lecture, a bit embarrassed at how lost he became when he spoke about something he was enthusiastic about.

“What exactly do you enjoy reading?” He assumed that she enjoyed to read because, well, one, her mother was Athena, two, she had asked if he enjoyed to read, and three… well, there wasn’t a three, but it made sense to have three reasons.

Ethan would side glance at Mikaela, almost as if he was unable to stop getting a look at the 10 year veteran of Camp Half-Blood.

The older twin noticed how his younger, naïve brother seemed to be drawn into listening to the daughter of Eros whenever she spoke. For once, he wanted Ethan to actually continue his stupid puppy love conversation with the daughter of Athena. The two girls who stood in front of his side of the booth didn’t give Stephen a good feeling, mostly because he seemed to be attracted to them, regardless of whether he wanted to be or not.

As Mikeala spoke, he could feel her words having a pull. Not a literal pull. But, it was as if her words clung onto him, inviting him to listen to every word she had to say. He was able to break away from this mellow state when her eyes darted to his brother, then back at himself. The only thing Stephen cared about was the well-being of his younger sibling, and that seemed to keep him from fully succumbing.

“Well, the fun would be inside, obviously.” He sneered, a plastic smile on his face.

Next up to speak was Julieta.

For a second, Stephen was caught giving the Spanish-accented beauty a genuine smile, his composure slipping for a second. Luckily, he caught himself, regaining his steely expression. If he had to take a wild guess, and this was truly the definition of a wild guess, he would have to say that the two demigods were proving to be much more attractive to him because they had accents.

“If my brother and I wanted help, we would have visited the cabins that housed the children of Athena, or another cabin that housed intelligent individuals.” He muttered, a slight squint in his eyes as he listened to the two females converse.

Stephen's conversation was not so relaxed, which was ironic, since his poster clearly read “Boring Talks”. If there was something the older twin disliked more than rancid milk, it would be the sound of someone who thought they knew him. His composure stayed solid as he spoke, a quiet laughter filling his once silent side of the booth. He propped his feet onto the sturdy wooden surface, his arms crossing as he listened to Mikaela, informing her sidekick of what she had gathered on the twins so far.

“Such a shame. I thought you were going to tell her my favorite brand of cereal as well. Is that all you could gather from what you’ve seen, cupcake?” The older twin was beginning to become comfortable, enjoying how much he could throw nasty comments whenever he could.

A large part of Karla was incredibly grateful for the fact that at least for the moment, neither of the other girls were reading her or paying much interest to her. She found herself growing much to her surprise and shock, jealous of one of the girls who kept drawing the attention of Ethan, whose eyes flicked to the other demigod every so often.
She nodded the once. "Of course, military history, siege warfare, philosophy, art, romantic novels..." Karla shrugged lightly with her shoulders, flicking a few strands of fiery hair from her eyes.
"We could always discuss literature in private sometime." She offered suddenly and without warning. The offer was a rarity, firstly because Karla normally did not engage in deep or meaningful conversation with anyone without particular need or cause to do so, such as in the case of planning war games or monster hunts. Secondly, because Karla avoided such things less she find herself cursed with the affliction of caring for others. Such a thing would place her at risk when they inevitably died like her closest friends did. She pursed her lips uncertainly, feeling ever so slightly nervous.

“That sounds pretty interesting. I enjoy reading a bit of history myself.” Ethan spoke, nodding as he thought of the various history books he had previously read. “Of course, I read them because I thought there was a secret to explosive crafting, where you would be able to…” he trailed off, realizing he was beginning to become overly-enthusiastic again.

The younger twin cleared his throat before speaking once more. “I mean, I’ve read quite a few history books that were about explosives in military tactics and whatnot.” He gave her an awkward smile, attempting to be a little less enthusiastic about his hobby.

At the invitation of a more private meeting, Ethan beamed, leaning forward as he replied.
“I would most definitely like to see you again sometime.” He gave her a warm smile, but then quickly added, “… to discuss literature.”

She smiled at him when he mentioned that he too enjoyed reading history. Karla suspected he did not enjoy it or read as much of it as herself, but as a daughter of Athena her hunger for knowledge was insatiable. "It is okay." She soothed, Karla read many books purely for the sake of finding out any possible fragment or hint, which might lead her to the perfection of the arts of siege warfare.
"Napoleon might be a good strategist for you to read from." She suggested, knowing how Napoleon often used cannon to shatter a hole in the army of the enemy forces.
"Yes." She said quickly. "No harm with discussing literature." The red head agreed nervously.

“Napoleon, hm? I’ll read up on him when I have the time. He sounds like a pretty cool dude.” Ethan said, pursing his lips as he thought of the explosions the French military leader must have used when he was leading his campaigns across Europe. “I had read a little about him, since he was mentioned a few times, but I never really thought of looking into him more until now.” He gave the short redhead his signature, infamous, trademarked lopsided grin. “Thanks.”

As Karla spoke, Ethan was delighted to hear her a bit flustered as she spoke. He wasn’t a specialist in speech patterns, but it didn’t take a specialist to hear that she was a little nervous for their rendezvous at a more private time.

“Whenever and wherever you’d like, Karla.”

Julieta tipped her head to the side. "Do you mean that just because we are pretty and are kids of love gods, we can't be smart?" She asked, when Stephen said something about finding smart girls. There were two very smart girls standing right in front of them, and the daughter of Peitho was not going to have her intelligence attacked by this boy she barely knew. Julieta wanted to be a forensic scientist.

Mikaela rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "I can also tell that you hide behind your snark." Mikaela said sassily. She didn't like when people attacked her ability to read people. That was who she was as a person. Mikaela looked over Stephen and then looked back over at Ethan. It was fortunate that Stephen's smile seemed so fake and Ethan's wasn't, or she would never know which was which.

Stephen had no response for the daughter of Peitho, mostly because even he didn’t like the way it came out. There was a line between snarky and uncalled for. The older twin ruled that, when he insulted the girls’ intelligence, it was uncalled for. Intelligence is something that cannot simply be measured by exams; there were different types of intelligence, ones that were more textbook, by-the-book based and ones that were learned throughout the hardships of life. Regardless of what the girls’ intelligence may be, it was wrong of the older sibling to say such a thing.

“I take it back, the intelligence bit back. It was uncalled for.” That was as close as the females would receive as an apology from him.

A pleased smile formed as Mikaela added another observation, this one about himself and his snarky remarks. It was true, to an extent… well, no, it was true. Stephen hid behind a veil of rudeness. It was easier to force everyone to dislike him than to create ties and bonds. Things always got messy when emotions and genuine concern was involved.

“Aw, do you have me all figured out, Mikaela?” Stephen asked, his lips pursed into a slight pout as he spoke. “Was that everything that you have discovered?”

Ethan had been quiet long enough.

The younger twin was beginning to become sick of the attitude his older brother was showing the two beautiful demigods, so, he decided to show them a lighter side of the twins. After setting up a time and place to continue his conversation with Karla, he slid his chair into Stephen’s side, bumping into his older twin’s seat, causing Stephen’s feet to drop back down to the ground.

“Excuse me, ladies, my brother here is just a little upset that he was forced to sit out here with me.” Ethan explained, a relaxed, genuine smile on his face as he turned to his older brother. “What did I tell you about upsetting the people who came to meet us?” It was as if the roles of the older and younger sibling reversed as Ethan regarded his older brother.

“This was all your idea, and now you’re going to stick up for a couple of –“

Ethan decided to interrupt his brother with a laugh, giving Stephen a few firm pats on the back and laughing as he returned his attention to the two ladies.

“My brother’s such a kidder. I’m sorry, I don’t believe we’ve personally met. I was preoccupied earlier.” Ethan stood from his seat and outstretched his hand as he introduced himself, focusing all of his attention on them. “My name’s Ethan, the handsome twin, son of Triton.”

“Handsome twin my *ss.” Stephen muttered as Ethan now attempting to repair whatever damage he had done while he was speaking with Karla.

Julieta was pleased that he at least admitted that the intelligence was a step over the line. It may not have been the best apology, but at least it was something. Julieta looked at Mikaela as Stephen commented on what she knew about him. Julieta knew that Mikaela wouldn't like that one bit, so thank goodness Ethan interjected, or Julieta may have had to stopped Mikaela's claws going in for the kill.

Mikaela instantly liked Ethan more than she liked Stephen, especially when he started to say something about the girls. Ethan, unfortunatly, cut him off though. "No, don't cut him off. Let him finish. What are we a couple of?" Mikaela couldn't quite tell why Stephen was like this, but she was going to find out. There was always a why to things like this.

Mikaela turned her attention back to Ethan as he formally introduced himself to the girls. She shook his hand in return. "I'm Mikaela Winther, daughter of Eros." Julieta shook his hand as well. "And I'm Julieta Russo, daughter of Peitho." She said with a smile

The girls looked at each other and laughed as they debated about who was the hotter twin. They were too identical to have that debate.

Ethan’s hand went up to fix his snapback, lifting it slightly, raking his fingers through his soft brown hair, and then placing it back atop his head, satisfied. He gave each of them a smile as they shook his hand, genuinely thrilled to have met a couple of new demigods, since, the twins were having such a difficult time making friends. Well, his older brother was having a hard time making friends. Ethan was a natural socialite.

Ethan took his seat as soon as they had introduced themselves, a finger pressing into the side of Stephen’s thigh to signal his older brother to stay quiet until he was able to fix his mess. “Mikaela, with all due respect, I think talking to my brother any further will just make you want to rip that beautiful hair of yours out.” The younger twin propped his elbows on the table, resting his chin on his palm as he continued to speak. “Is that natural..?” Ethan asked, biting the corner of his lower lip as he worked his charm.

Stephen was near close to gagging at the sight of his younger brother flirting. Sure, at some point, Stephen was the better flirt. But, he outgrew that type of mindset when his brother began running rampant with his crazy ideas. Thus, he became the twin that was always worried, always looking out for his younger sibling, always the uncool one. But, that was fine. People weren’t that interesting anyway.

Mikaela could tell that Ethan was just blatantly trying to pick up the pieces of what his brother had done, and she found that really amusing. Mikaela nodded when Ethan asked about her hair. "Yup." Mikaela could also tell that Ethan was trying to work whatever charm he had to get him and his brother out of this situation. It was adorable, especially to a girl whose entire thing was love and attraction. He definitely did have a fair amount of natural charm, but he could learn a thing or two from them, especially Julieta. Julieta was amused watching him try and talk around things. She would be so much better

Mikaela looked at Stephen. "Why so quiet?" Mikaela said with a laugh. She knew what Ethan had said, but she was enjoying this game with the twins. She was amused by Ethan trying to save it, and Stephen breaking it. She had to give Stephen a chance to say something dumb so she could watch Ethan try and cover it up.

"Oh, you know, I'm just at a loss for words while in the presence of two beautiful women." The older twin replied, a sly smile on his face as he mimicked his brother's movement, propping his elbows on the table and resting his chin on a palm as well. Stephen would not be baited into retaliating, giving the daughter of Eros the satisfaction of getting a remark from him. All he could do was tell a half-truth. It was true, that the two demigods were beautiful and it was true that the older, and younger twin as a matter of fact, was attracted to them both, but it was not this reason that he became tight-lipped. A thought occurred to Stephen as he sat there, observing the way Mikaela carried herself and the way she spoke; she has attitude of a prominent figure here at camp. It was quite alright if Stephen was the only person who would receive a bad reputation because of this encounter, but he had no intentions of dragging his brother along with him. He decided to play nice... for now.

Ethan was a little surprised at his older brother's change of heart, but he didn't mind it. This would mean that they would all be able to get along and hang out at some point, maybe even crafting each other bracelets or other activities that allow people to bond.

"Aw, see? My bro's just tongue tied because of you two babes." Ethan said, giving a sly wink to Julieta, who has been rather quiet this whole time. "What's a couple of beautiful women like you two doing walking around the commons when you could be by the beach soaking up the sun?"

Stephen wasn't sure if his brother was seriously flirting at this moment, because he recognized that famous line back from when they were still attending high school. It was a line he used to initiate a conversation with a person he was attracted to. Maybe the older twin was imagining it, but it caught him off guard regardless.

Julieta knew that sometimes it was for the best to let Mikaela do the talking when she was in this mode. Anyway, sometimes, Julieta could be over misleading and deceptive, a natural side effect of being a kid of seductive speech. The fierce daughter of Peitho smiled, putting her hands on her best friend's shoulders. "Well, this one is Danish and burns like it's no one's business in the sun." Julieta said with a small laugh. "Anyway, if we were there we couldn't be watching this whole show." Julieta said with a stronger laugh.

Mikaela watched as Stephen assumed the same position as Ethan. He seemed to be ceding something to her and Julieta, but that couldn't be it. This had to be a front of some kind. "So, tell me about you boys." Mikaela said, her eyes looking between the boys, leaning her hands on the table. "It's easier if you just do it. Promise." Julieta mirrored Mikaela's stature.
